Summary
A surprise visit from Governor Thropp - one where he only bothers seeing Elphaba much later - has Elphaba going back to acting small again, while Galinda is prim and proper in front of a visiting dignitary like she's always been trained to.
Even if this time, seeing how this dignitary treats Elphaba makes her feel...less gracious inside. Especially after an attempt to praise her backfires, and she just wishes he would leave Elphie alone and float away....
aka a canon rewrite of the first time Galinda ever made a giant bubble.

Summary
After the 5 times/character study/fix-it of "You Are That Girl", Glinda is over the moon at her supposed happy ending with Elphaba, despite still being on the run.
Yet when old insecurities return and actual inspiration strikes, Glinda comes up with a real, Elphie-like plan that involves returning to Oz, playing along with Morrible & the Wizard's lies, being honored at the palace, and sneaking Elphie in to save the monkeys & get her own happy ending - & that will surely prove Glinda can make good for her.
But even in a presumed happy ending, no good deed gets rewarded.

Five times Galinda tells herself when it comes to Elphaba "I'm not that girl" - whether out of denial, guilt, regret, a need to fix things, more denial, more pining, and even more regret - and each time more non-canonical than the last.
From Ozdust, to a fix-it where Galinda is spared from sleep in class and joins Elphie's rescue mission, to her supposed goodbye at the train station, to a fix-it where she gets 10 more seconds to make a different choice - and then an aftermath where her guilt and self-worth comes crashing down.
All for Elphie to keep upending - and to finally prove wrong.

What if when Wanda dreamed about her boys in another world, there was another part of that life the Darkhold didn't want her to see? Or rather, another person in that life - namely someone named Peter Parker who saved her life.
By the time our Wanda learns that, our Peter is on his class field trip to Europe - and she gets there right in time to expose an evil plot before it starts. Which then makes so many things better for her and Peter, and the multiverse as well.
But when the dust settles and Wanda starts dreaming again, her dreams/visions of her first world with Peter become more...explicit. [Explicit parts in Chapter 2/3]

Summary
After Tony Stark's funeral, Wanda is actually comforted by someone other than Clint about Vision - in this case an equally mournful Peter Parker. And in this scenario, they actually start to become friends...yet Wanda is still unable to reach out to Peter right before, during or after Westview.
Its only after Peter is exposed, and rejected from MIT with MJ and Ned, that Wanda finds him again and offers to use her newfound powers to fix things. However, she neglects to tell him her mass mind erasure spell - and the side effects when it is messed up - came from the Darkhold until it is too late.
Multiversal villains, team-ups, tragedy and unlikely allies ensue - if not exactly the same as usual.

In my fic "Because I Knew You," Wanda Maximoff was unaffected by the "forget Peter Parker" spell, actually became neighbors and friends with him, and eventually destroyed the Darkhold before ever targeting America Chavez.
Unfortunately, now a sorceress named Clea is after her instead, to destroy her before her multiversal incursions further destabilize the multiverse and the Dark Dimension. But when Stephen Strange learns of this - and eventually realizes Wanda is not behind it - he brings her and Peter to protect America with him.
Thus what SHOULD have been Multiverse of Madness ensues - with Clea as the all-powerful female villain NOT made out of sexist tropes/character regression, Wanda and Peter side-by-side to help save America, Stephen thoroughly on edge around Clea for many reasons, and different kinds of multiverse travels, cameos and surprises all around them.

When she remembers, and the question of why she had to forget him becomes too distracting, she goes undercover into Peter's apartment as his prospective new neighbor. But she never could have imagined what the real truth was - or that someone was just as alone and had lost just as much as she did.
Or that she could find someone far kinder to listen to - and to have listen to her - than the Darkhold. Before it became too late. Even as both of them keep pretending they don't really know who the other one is.

137 timelines have been pruned by the TVA, in which someone actually gave comfort, friendship and support to Wanda Maximoff after Vision died. Friendship and support which would have definitely kept her from reading the Darkhold and becoming what the Sacred Timeline - according to He Who Remains - insists she has to be.
A whole bunch of those pruned timelines are ones where Peter Parker was allowed to befriend her. And tonight, the Peter variant from the final timeline where anyone could have sent Wanda on a better path will be pruned to end it all. On the night Wanda goes to London and confirms what she needs to do to get her kids - and the night after the battle of London Bridge, no less.
All is set as it has always been set against Wanda - until a certain someone watching with Him bends his oath just a little bit to warn her. And all right before she finally gets to meet a long overdue friend.

A different kind of "Peter takes a field trip to the Avengers" story and a 5+ 1 story, as he and his class visit the new Avengers compound - with Wanda and Vision still on house arrest on the top floor.
So since Spider-Man is known to be close to Wanda and Peter Parker isn't, Peter has to make himself act like he doesn't know her or feel anything about her - even when memories of how he does know her better than almost anyone keep popping up, and even when classmates keep popping off about her.
But MJ doesn't have such immense self-control.

For one, it has gone up over the center of New York City. For another, the people inside are acting out decades of TV dramas, not sitcoms. For yet another, Vision - or some version of Vision - is the primary lead, often alongside a new woman, while Wanda is cast as a villain.
And unknown to most of the world, this time it really is Agatha behind it all along - as first teased at the end of my previous fic "I Made A Friend", as she seeks to scorch out any hope for Wanda to rejoin the world once and for all.
But like the last hex, an intruder has another agenda.

Thanks to so many factors, Spider-Man almost certainly won't be in "Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness" after his own multiverse adventure in "No Way Home" ends - and he won't get to join Dr. Strange and Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch in whatever multiverse adventure they're in.
But what if he could?
For that matter, what if he could be in a Multiverse of Madness where Wanda didn't threaten the entire multiverse just to get her kids back - at least not for the whole story? What if someone who knew Wanda's pain could talk her down in time - without any evil neighbor to stop it this time - and then help Wanda help Dr. Strange repair the multiverse and much more?
What if there was a world of multiverse madness where Wanda got to make a friend, instead of merely being the villain/potential villain who threatens reality one more time? And what if Peter got to make a real magical friend who didn't betray him, helped him save all worlds and gave him extra courage to face his world again too?
It may not happen on the big screen in this world. But in this section of the multiverse, it's a different story.

When Wanda's pain over losing Vision and the kids finally fades, the pain of all the damage she caused to keep them in Westview, all the people she inflicted with her own grief - and of yet another broken promise to never inflict such pain on others again - is the next to crush her.
But for the first time, it isn't Vision or terrorists or a super team to pull her back and remind her she doesn't have to be the villain the world - and the Darkhold - expects her to be. This time it's the least likely person - herself. Or rather, the astral projection of her new Scarlet Witch self that introduces herself after her latest guilt ridden nightmare.
A [mostly] first person Wanda POV story that offers one last attempt to let Wanda pick herself back up, remember her greatest strength isn't magic but in trying again and again to do better [even after failing over and over again] - and for once, draw comfort instead of grief and guilt from herself [even a herself that's now a being foretold to end the world - and which the MCU STILL wants us to spend yet another year fearing for her finally going overboard]

Summary
Through years of pain, suffering, loss, emotional torture and almost ceaseless trauma, the universe and other large forces - assisted at the last minute for very different reasons by Agatha Harkness and Director Hayward - has been hell bent on ensuring Wanda Maximoff became the Scarlet Witch. No matter what the cost to Wanda and no matter if it made her hero or villain at the end of it - not that Wanda as a person has ever been a high priority for the universe, the Earth in general and their various assistants.
But as the Scarlet Witch is on the verge of ascending, Wanda herself - or at least the Wanda we never got to see and probably should have at some point in her universe [even if other neighboring ones around here are more merciful] - shouldn't be forgotten yet.
Now that most of my theories I wrote out in my last two stories are shot, I'm settling for a pre-emptive mourning/meta-commentary, before Wanda is discarded for the form she seemingly needed years of suffering to attain.

SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 107
Though Agnes - Agatha Harkness - has revealed herself, she's not done messing with Wanda's mind yet. Not through mind control, but through more painful reminders of what Wanda allowed to happen in Westview, gaslighting her into believing she's exactly the kind of person who would let it happen, and offers to stay in Westview forever that Wanda can't convince herself she should turn down anymore.
Until a blast from a familiar, suddenly rebuilt object brings back a memory of what she really did right before the Hex formed, who she really tried to be even at the lowest point of her life - and who she's finally ready to introduce Agatha to now. But even that may not be enough.
Another attempt at a Wanda character study that doubles as a wish fulfillment/theory for future episodes, tries to explain the still unexplained trailer snippets left, and seeks to give Wanda a real chance to heal and remember she's not just another all powerful woman who went unstable from grief - in case the show forgets to really try in the little time left it gave itself.
