There is beauty in things that are broken. Pure Vanilla would know, for he had witnessed truth, and knows that the truth is he is horribly broken. Ever since the end of the Dark Flour War, ever since he was Healer Cookie. Ever since he had become rotten from the inside out, having become a cannibal in times of desperation. Even after awakening truth, it would become an addiction worse than he could imagine, a curse that would plague him for eternity as long as he wasn't crumbled.

Shadow Milk was the rotten sort who took pleasure from tormenting others, even if it meant tearing apart cookies that were already broken from the start. He enjoyed tainting the innocent with deceit, but his most recent victim was never as pure as he had thought... Pure Vanilla, despite being a ruined soul from the beginning, had managed to find truth and defeat him. Maybe his hatred stemmed from jelousy, maybe from betrayel. But that didn't matter anymore, for the only thing he desired now was to have his Soul Jam back.

Shadow Milk Cookie escapes the Silver Tree with hopes of receiving forgiveness for his time as a Beast so he may return to his position as a virtue. However, he has not realized just how long he has been imprisoned for. Before he has any chance of being a virtue once again, he must relearn the ways of the world, including how to speak the common language.
The silver tongue of the Master of Deceit is useless when there's nobody it can be spoken to with, though there's one especially compassionate ancient willing to meet him halfway.
