Lumine’s glare grew sharper as she replied back, “Shut the fuck up, goodbye.”
She turned back to the stairs and slowly walked up. The way she walked clearly showed how uncomfortable she was as her legs awkwardly took one step at the same time. Quiet moans slipped past her lips.
She heard Childe chuckling at her but made no effort to turn it off or even help her. She cursed him off in her head as she finally made it up the stairs without the things she had feared coming to life.

It made his chest tighten, called to a part of him he had long since buried beneath blood, battle, and the endless roar of the Dark Sea.
