Two days previously, she’d seen the lost statue of Barbatos chained to the ceiling of a dark ruin, and met her brother for the first time in what she was realizing had to be centuries. Two days previously, she’d crossed blades with the Abyss Herald, and now, Lumine noticed she could see a glimmer of its swirling darkness in Childe’s transformation.
“I do, actually,” said Childe. “Why?”
“I need to go there, and I want you to help me.”

She breathed his name again, this time as a plea, her fingers sliding up to tangle in his ginger hair. The strands were softer than they looked, silky between her fingers as she tugged him closer. The sweet scent of fresh flowers suddenly overwhelmed her senses, mixing with the heady musk of their arousal and the faint smell of sweat from their earlier travel.
Childe pulled back just enough to gaze down at her with darkened eyes, his pupils blown wide with desire until only thin rings of ocean blue remained. Golden motes caught the afternoon light that seeped through her window, dancing in the air between them like tiny fireflies. "You're so beautiful like this," he murmured, his voice rough with want.
Was her bedroom in the Serenitea Pot always this dusty?
Or, Lumine takes Childe into her Serenitea Pot for some alone time.
