“You’re…” Jeongin’s breath catches again. He feels lightheaded, too shaken to place who he’s most upset with. If he’s even allowed to be. “Who said you were too much?” His chopsticks nearly break in half at the thought, the mere implication that a smile like Seungmin’s could be any less than perfect. If anything, he’s never enough.
Seungmin could take up every corner of Jeongin’s life and it’d never be enough, not even remotely.
“I—” Seungmin blinks, his pupils dilate for the moment their eyes lock, holding back something he knows would shatter what’s left of Jeongin’s heart —world— with his honesty. “Words don’t always have to be spoken to be heard.”

“What’s your favorite Russian word?” Ilya sits with his legs caging Shane in from behind, softly kissing the freckles behind his ears and down his neck.
“You.” Shane doesn’t hesitate or have to think about it. It’s so simple, yet it means just about everything to him. “Without you I wouldn’t have a reason to love anything else.” His head tilts to say, angling awkwardly as he does his best to face Ilya and gauge his reaction. It’s subtle, but the twitch on the corner of his lips is enough for Shane to lean forward and press a kiss on Ilya's cheek. “Boring, right?”

“Do you miss any of it?” Hyunjin sits across from Seungmin to ask, fingers tapping on the wooden table as he too begins reminiscing. The music is almost loud enough to drown their conversation, yet it leaves enough space for Seungmin to hear — ponder — about the life they all shared what feels like decades ago now.
“I don’t know.” Seungmin picks up his glass, cold water sweating down the sides just as he takes a sip. It gives him enough time to really think about his answer and how honest he intends to be. “Yes and no.”

Left to stand alone, Jeongin doesn’t even have to silence the flutters anymore… the sight of Jisung skipping into Minho’s arms doing a good enough job to almost make him feel sick.
He had hoped for relief: to feel a weight lifted off his shoulders now that he finally gave Jisung what he wanted. Years of begging and pouting all boiled down to one moment of happiness surrounded by thousands and thousands of onlookers, and Jeongin isn’t so sure he feels as relieved as he should.

Taking a step forward, Changbin’s arms fall to his side, leaning forward as if he towers over Felix in regular circumstances. “Do you hear yourself?” He chuckles, reaching for the counter behind Felix and caging the young man in.
“What did I say?” Felix looks away. He’s too embarrassed to be seen, more than he was already exposed by this confrontation.
“What you didn’t say is what got me.” Changbin presses his nose against Felix’s, his smile is wide enough to be felt, for Felix to shiver at the mere thought. “You said you’re always watching me, worrying over me, and… and you care more than you show. That maybe it’s okay for me to keep waiting for you because one day you’ll finally see what I’m not saying.”
“Changbin…” Felix gasps, squeezing his eyes shut when breathing becomes too difficult to focus on. All he can think of is how hard Changbin’s chest feels against his, how good he smells, and how happy he sounds for a change.
Unable to speak up, Felix shakes his head instead… like an idiot.
AKA… A new employee joins Felix’s company and he immediately takes a liking to him.
