    An AU Canon Divergence of Persona 5, in which the demiurge picks not the unfortunate child Goro Akechi, but rather the other, supposedly slick and confident Akira Kurusu. There are some major repercussions because of this, mainly: the adoption of Goro Akechi, leading to his eventual rise as the leader (?) of the Phantom Thieves—oh, and did I forget to mention that he's moonlighting the part? He's (someowhat) a real detective-to-be in this one, you know.

    Oh, and his guardian? It is no other than Yu Narukami, sponsored by Mitsuru Kirijo.

    Above a bandaged neck an unforgettable face is surrounded by the blinding, unyielding light of his ascension. That's a face that belongs in myths and statues of long gone heroes. Or maybe it's just that He Xuan has seen that face carved in far, far more sculptures one would want to encounter in a lifetime.
