“I was afraid, I think,” George blinks, eyes directed at the gloomy sight in front of him. “I’ve always hated the things I was afraid of.”
Dream brings his elbow to rest on the sand as he lifts himself up slightly to look at George’s face. “What else are you afraid of?”
George takes a deep breath, tilting his head away from the moon, letting silver dance on sharpened cheekbones. Dream thinks he has cunning ways to find, to be, his weakest spot. “Sometimes, I’m afraid of the things I want.”
Or, getting stood up on a trip to Hawaii by their friends certainly weren’t on Dream and George’s agenda. And neither was falling in love.

"Sorry, sorry," Sapnap says, but there's still a lilt of humor in his voice. "So, what's wrong? You're in love with George, and I'd be willing to bet that he's in love with you, too."
