Summary
Nico had survived a lot, in fact he could even say he had lived more life than most kids his age. He had been to tartarus and survived. If someone took a look at his life from the outside, they might say that a few summer themed games were nothing to balk at. They would be horrible wrong.
Chiron knew that each camper was dealing with the tragedy they had faced in different, and often unhealthy, ways. He had lost so many children who he considered his own so he felt he owed those who were left a chance to move forward and heal. That was how in the middle of June the idea of The Summer Games became a reality during a counselor meeting. It really was a simple idea that did not take much thought to come to fruition. Each of the cabins would be put into pairs and have to work together to win a series of challenges over the course of the summer.

Until recently, Nico di Angelo never would have acted on his feelings. He prefers to keep that part of himself under lock and key as far away from outsiders as possible. But when he’s with a certain son of Apollo, he finds it difficult to maintain that barrier he so desperately clings to. Will Solace has an annoying habit of breaking down the walls he built around himself with nothing more than a smile. If Nico didn’t know any better, he’d think he was actually eager to share more of himself with Will.
And so, when Will asks for Nico to teach him how to kiss properly, something inside of him cannot refuse. The son of Hades really has dug his own grave this time.

The pair falls silent, the only sound being crayons scratching on paper and the slight rattle of the windows from the wind blowing through the snowy hills outside. Then, Ranboo’s tail flicks slightly in what Tommy is slowly coming to recognize as anxiety.
“It’s because we just... don’t? I-I don’t know.” Ranboo pinches his brow with his fingers.
“We didn’t want a wedding because we didn’t—” he falls silent for a moment before gently moving a hand over Michael’s lone ear. “We didn’t exactly have anyone to come to the wedding. You included.” Ranboo tilts his head affectionately towards Michael, who was still scribbling away at his coloring book.
“It was just us for a while.”
Or: That time Tommy convinces his two best friends to get married properly and just maybe makes them both a suit in the process while being the coolest uncle on the entire SMP.

Summary
They bring Michael back to Snowchester on Valentine’s Day, a few days before they impulsively get married. It’s a joke at first-- a cute little mob that had gotten attached to Ranboo, who had toddled on baby legs, following them to the portal and clutching to a chicken’s feathery down the whole way. They’d lured him gently, promises of gold and meat, and he’d followed right into the overworld and through the snow and chill to Snowchester. By then, they’d gained his trust enough for the kid to let them pick him up, a tiny little thing that was mostly bone and leathery, half-zombified skin.
Or: Tubbo and Ranboo adopt a kid, get married, get divorced, and have a time of it. Not necessarily in that order.
