  1. Summary

Hero means different things to different people. Through trials, tribulations, and shenanigans, the members of Class 1-A and their gruff softy of a teacher are learning just what that word means to each one of them as they build a little found family that in many cases is stronger than any actual family.

The "Here We Stand" stories are the main focus containing the heaviest hitting pieces of the plot. While we will do our best to recap, these stories will make the most sense when read in context of each other.

This series will also contain three sub-series:
(Unless specifically mentioned stories in these sub-series can be read independently though they might reference events in the main plot stories. We'll do our best to clarify when that happens.)

"Finding Solid Ground" - Character and relationship building stories with everything from fluff to angst

"Walk a Mile" - Fluff. Pure, tooth-rotting fluff.

"The Misadventures of Detective Foster Dad" - Stories focused around Miyake Ohta, our OC introduced in chapter 12 of "Here We Stand...As the Beasts Close In"

(Series renamed from "What They Stand For" in our continuing efforts to encapsulate exactly what we're trying to build.)

  2. Summary

A sub-series of "We Are More Than Heroes"

All of the fluffy shenanigans! Lighthearted fluffy stories with minimal plot.

Each story can be read as a standalone but in later stories there may be mentions of characters and situations from other stories either within the "Walk A Mile" series, the "We Are More Than Heroes" main series, or from that series's other sub-series "Finding Solid Ground". We'll do our best to clarify when this happens.

  3. Summary

Tsukauchi had never planned on becoming a father. His job didn't really allow time for that sort of domestic complication, but that said there was just something about this deaf, orphaned, Yakuza teenager they'd rescued in a raid - maybe it was the weird eyes? Regardless taking Ohta home as his foster son absolutely ranks up there as one of the most impulsive things he's ever done.
What has he gotten himself into?!

(Miyake Ohta was introduced in chapter 12 of Here We Stand... As the Beast Close In in the We Are More Than Heroes series, but most everything in this series should be able to be followed without having to read the main series though they will certainly enhance the experience.)

  4. Summary

A sub-series "We Are More Than Heroes"

Highlighting the shenanigans, trials, and ever growing relationships of the members of Class 1-A and their gruff softy of a teacher as they build a little found family that in many cases is stronger than any actual family.

    -or-

Class 1-A is codependent and so is their teacher

Unless otherwise mentioned, they can be read on their own but in later stories there may be mentions of characters and situations from other stories either within the "Finding Solid Ground" series, the "We Are More Than Heroes" main series, or from that series's other sub-series "Walk A Mile". We'll do our best to clarify when this happens.

    Summary

A year after the Winter Soldier failed his mission in DC, Bucky Barnes is doing his best to stay under the radar from both Hydra and Steve Rogers. His hope for a peaceful day-to-day life in limbo goes awry, however, when he meets Queens’ newest hero; a pure-hearted kid with a death wish and a ridiculous pair of red and blue pajamas.

The last thing Steve expects when he finally tracks Bucky down is that, not only has the man been living in Queens all this time, right under his nose, but also that, in the two years since they last saw each other, Bucky somehow acquired a kid.

Alternatively: How Peter Parker effectively fucks over Bucky Barnes, and also totally saves him.

“Doctor,” he said weakly. “Why does my loss of control unnerve you so? You often berate me for my so-called lack of emotions… but when I do express them, it seems it is you who are incapable of bearing it.”

Another mission goes awry, causing injury to Spock, and Leonard McCoy is forced to confront an uncomfortable truth.

    Summary

An Infinity War au, of sorts. During the Thanos' attack on the Statesman, Heimdall manages to conjure just enough power to send Thor, Loki, Bruce, and himself hastily to Midgard seconds before Loki's neck can be snapped by the Titan.

The hasty escape, however, doesn't come without its own complications, the most pressing of which being the lingering damage of Thanos' rage.

Or, more specifically, Loki's sudden inability to speak.

    Summary

An Infinity War au, of sorts. Following the events of Thanos' attack on the Statesman, and Heimdall subsequently sending himself, Thor, Bruce, and Loki to Midgard, the small group is stuck in a sort of limbo, waiting for an indication as to what the correct next step might be -- if there is one at all.

Luckily, Bruce manages to get into contact with an old friend, who promises their help within the week.

Not so luckily, Thor determines that, given Loki's still slowly improving health (as well as his continued inability to speak), it might be best to keep the development from his brother, for the time being.

This, unsurprisingly, does not work out in anyone's favor.
