Summary
The first few times Namjoon received emails claiming he was betrothed to the Crown Prince of South Korea, he just laughed it off. Now that he’s in med school and barely has time for anything, though, it isn’t funny anymore. When said Crown Prince actually shows up outside his dorm one day, Namjoon doesn’t know what to do.
For Jeongguk, the answer’s simple enough: get married so they can both get on with their lives. This is just another thing he has to do as a royal. Who cares if he’s not getting married for love? At the very least maybe he and Namjoon can be friends like they used to be, an impossibly long time ago that Namjoon barely remembers.
Namjoon thinks he could work with that, being friends who are fake-real husbands. It should be easy, right?

But with Jungkook crammed down at the end of the table, too far away to subtly pass drinks to, and Seokjin too busy maintaining a vital stream of middle-aged puns to be sipping much wine, most of it is going into Namjoon's glass.

Jungkook squeezes his eyes closed, letting out a breath through his nose before finally meeting Namjoon’s gaze. “You’d have to, um, pretend to be my boyfriend. You know, like…” he trails off, unsure what to say.
Namjoon smiles kindly. “I can do that, Jungkook-ah,” he insists. “How hard could it be?”
Privately, Jungkook thinks it could be very hard, but he still finds himself nodding, heart lodged in his throat.

When Namjoon meets Yoongi he's overworked and in need of another coffee. Yoongi is cowering in an alley and about to get a tranquilizer dart in his neck. One of them definitely got the shorter end of the stick.
It all goes south, and Yoongi runs, and he runs, but Namjoon runs after him and he'll keep running and never stop until he can make things right.
