The interior of the Golden House, ornate in design and lacking the slightest imperfections, invoked a near ethereal aesthetic. As though it were crafted by beings greater than oneself, sporting authentic gold and looming pillars and silk banners that none would dare touch. Even the floors, always polished enough to show one’s own reflection, was enough to make it feel like you didn’t belong. You weren’t welcome. A being with such a short lifespan standing in something so incredibly grand… the building’s beauty was rivaled by none in Liyue, as was its ability to make one feel insignificant. A perfect stage for a dance wagering life and death.
"This is the last time we'll be able to train like this. So give me all you've got."When Aether announces he's leaving Liyue to begin the next stretch of his journey, Ajax panics and suggests a bet. If he wins, he'd be able to join Aether in Inazuma. Aether takes it.

By all accounts, Rex Lapis is wise, benevolent, and unerringly just. But it is also said that he is hard-hearted, and incapable of love. Many years have passed since the contract was made. Princess Lumine has been abducted and slain by the Lord of the Abyss. Prince Aether's father, the Celestial King, forbade him looking into his sister's death, not wanting to lose both children. But Aether has just come of age and is sent to Teyvat, to become the spouse of this Dragon King. Perhaps now he will be able to discover the truth of what happened to his sister.
