Summary
Will gathers up all his courage into his sore arms, cradling bravery against his chest, holding it over his broken-and-then-healed ribcage. “Ever since I got back from the Upside Down, I’ve been in pain.”
“What do you mean?” Mike asks.
“It’s like I came back wrong. My body hurts pretty much all the time. It wasn’t that bad when it started, but it just kept getting worse and worse and now I’m just—” Will swallows the lump in his throat. “I’m crippled, basically. I’m sorry.”
Mike’s mouth opens and closes a couple times. “Hold on, did you say since the Upside Down? Three years ago?”
Will nods.
“And when you say ‘all the time’, you mean all the time?”
“The severity changes a lot, but yes.”
Mike looks… very concerned. “Even right now?”
It’s not funny, but he laughs. “Especially right now.”
or, Snapshots of Will's experience with chronic pain over the years, and how he navigates it with Mike.

Summary
"I still feel him. Everywhere. Just like when I was a kid." Will took a deep breath, before continuing. "I still feel trapped, Mike. Like he owns every part of me, inside and out. Like every move I make is what he would want me to make. And I'm cold. I'm always so cold... A-And now? Now I'm just like him... I'm just like Henry." Tears filled Wills hazel-green eyes, streaking his dirty cheeks, shuddered breaths racking his body. Mike watched in horror as he realized what Will meant. Every part of me, inside and out. Inside and out. Inside and out.
Takes place immediately after s5 ep4.

Summary
Will really shouldn't have been surprised when he was next. After all, the last three years had been nothing but bad luck for him, as if the universe had taken a 'kick me' sign and permanently glued it to his back.
Or
Will gets Vecna’d but really he should’ve seen it coming.

Summary
On his first day of school Will was called to the Guidance Counselor's office and given a little yellow card. He was told that if he ever felt too overwhelmed, or anxious, or scared, he could show his teacher the card, and they’d let him leave the class for a few minutes, no questions asked.
Will could see the pity in his Guidance Counselor's eyes as he handed him the card. He could hear the condescending tone in his voice as he told him that if he ever needed anything, anything at all, all he had to do was ask.
Will had stared up at him, his face blank.
Yellow was the color of fear. It was the color cowardice, of terror, and every other synonym for the stupid word.
He looked down at the card, gripping it tightly in both his hands, crinkling the edges, promising himself that no matter what, he’d never, ever use that card.
