Summary
For the first time in human history, the Heavens intervened in earthly matters to deliver a Divine Decree across the seven seas and seven continents that promised Nigh-Omnipotence for the last living Dragon and Divine Power to the human who controlled it.
The Divine Decree led to calamity for the Dragon species and after a century of Wars pushed the once-almighty creatures to near extinction, only one dragon remained: Nathan, Butcher of Life and Lord of the Skies. He belonged to the Moriyama Dynasty of the Karasu Empire and was under the control of Kengo Moriyama, allowing them to claim what the Heavens pledged.
Or so they would have if Nathan did not have a son hidden from the world.

This was so beautiful written-- filled to the brim with imagery. It's no surprise really. It's like a rose-- pretty, but covered with such painful, truthful, thorns. I honestly wonder what bravery really is, when it's stories like this that reveal its destructive nature

I actually started reading this before it was finished, and then while waiting for chapter 11 I got side tracked, so I just reread it, lol. And I love it. It's a very short version of book 1, so quick read but not too quick, and the chapters are super short, which after just finishing a fanfic where every chapter was like 20,000 words and there were 32 chapters, reading this was heaven. Also Neil calls Andrew "love" in this, and... I already have a thing for british guys saying that, but Neil? It hits different. And definitely in a good way. Um... I'm trying to think of more things to say about this but- oh. Neil is extra chaotic. Like his canon roasts? They got even better. Anyway, I'm off to start reading book 2 now.
