Bakugo is a prick who didn't deserve the love Izuku gave him when they were friends so Izuku turns to Present Mics radio station. Tries to become a hero in anyway he can. A symbol of hope.
Hizashi Yamada would happily take him though along with Aizawa Shouta and of course their cats.Or
Izuku calls Hizashi's radio station enough for the hero to have adoption papers ready on his fridge kept up by a green magnet.

Summary
When Izuku moves away at the age of ten, Katsuki tries to forget his former friend with his stupid "dormant" and undiscovered quirk. After his clear soul mark comes in, waiting to fill with colour upon contact with the other half of the pair and just before he's due to attend UA, he finally sees the nerd again. Only now he's stacked with delicious muscle and Katsuki struggles with unwelcome feelings as he tries to figure out exactly what is going on with the other teen.
Izuku on the other hand has been busy training to be a hero! A chance encounter with a stoic Pro-Hero sets him up for training and special advanced education so he can be fast tracked towards the life he'd always dreamed of. As he walks the halls of UA, not as a member of the hero course but as a special student, he reconnects with Kacchan. The explosive teen hasn't changed much and neither has his unending admiration for him.
The two of course dance around one another, missing the opportunity to unlock something special that would come with the discovery of their soulmate status until one day that changes...

He couldn't wait to get into UA and just live in the dorms, at this point, he could give two shits less about getting into the Hero Course, he'd be happy just getting into General Education because then that means freedom. Luckily for him, since he lives in a group home, he doesn't have to worry about expenses as UA offers a foster coverage program which he placed that information on his application and made sure that he applied to all departments, mainly out of desperation.
