Summary
Months after the Kishin, Asura was defeated, everything and everyone in Death City seemingly went back to normal. The students at DWMA went back to their studies and missions without any worry of another dangerous Kishin, at least for the most part.
Even with said normalcy returning, more problems seem to occur. Those problems surround relationships, anxiety, stress and much more. The characters will traverse through these issues while maintaining their grades and making their way into either creating, or becoming a death scythe.
Unfortunately that normalcy doesn't last for long. Another Kishin soon appears and it's just as dangerous or even more as Asura was.
But is that the only threat?
This Kishin threatens the DMWA and Death City as a whole. This puts more strain on the students who just wanted to return to their lives without any life threatening creatures on the loose.
This story centers around a particular meister and weapon pair, Maka and Soul.

Summary
After a mission goes astray and Maka gets injured, her "dignity" is called into question, causing Soul to fall into a self-inflicted mental spiral. Rationally, he knows he's done nothing wrong patching Maka up after she's been wounded, but a passing threat made by Harvar is enough to tip him over the edge. Suddenly, all the little "things" he's been purposefully ignoring over the years are at the forefront of his mind, and he isn't entirely sure he wants to be a Death Scythe if that means Maka's no longer his meister. But, co-dependency issues be damned because it's, unfortunately, a little too late to back out now, and he no longer has his brother's shadow providing him the perfect cover to run away.
