Till looked over the gentle slopes, noting the weathered rocks and scattered patches of hardened lava. He let Ivan’s words sink in, his eyes tracing the way the sunlight glinted off mineral streaks across the crater with newfound interest. Something about it reminded Till of Ivan—quiet and unassuming, but Till knew there was more beneath the surface.
He glanced at the raven at his side—only to find his obsidian eyes already on him.
Always at him, he realized.

Till bends his head down. Somewhere along the way, his Ivan has vanished. Till sweeps Ivan’s wet hair away from his face, smooths his palm down Ivan’s broad chest to feel for the heartbeat thudding slow but solid there. He’s only trembling slightly. He puts his lips to Ivan’s ear.
‘Get the fuck up, idiot.’
Ivan opens his eyes.
In the end, Ivan comes back to Till in the form of a cryogenic chamber. (Or: Ivan and Till get worse before they get better.)

“I thought you would win after all,” the man continues, slowing until he stood a few feet away. The man’s attention is stolen by the fluttering of a crimson flower inches away from his foot. Absently, he shifts his shoe and crushes the petals beneath him.

“Well…” Shuichi broke the comfortable silence, staring down, looking deep in thought. “I'd personally like to be a little more… Original.” He admitted, now looking straight ahead, not really focusing his gaze on something specific. Although he did have a conflicted expression in his face, almost appearing frustrated. “Spontaneous, exciting, intriguing…” After a moment Shuichi stayed in silence, looking conflicted. But a few seconds later his expression softened, now directing his eyes to Kokichi, giving him a small, kind smile. “Like you.”
Maybe it was the fact that he was tipsy what made Shuichi so confidently honest at that moment. Even so Kokichi couldn’t help but feel his heart skipping a beat once he heard him. However, no matter how intoxicated the supreme leader was, he couldn’t let himself be completely truthful, not even- No, especially not with the detective. The fact that he knew he was falling in love with him a little bit more every day terrified him.He would usually fake it, putting on a mask and never showing his true feelings.
But why did the alcohol have to make it so damn hard to lie?

Wanderer’s gaze remains on Lumine, and his face distorts as though he’d seen another bug—it reminds Paimon of his more insane days, and that’s why she keeps her mouth shut, despite how eerie he’s being. “But you like sugar,” Wanderer says, mouth twisted, a petulant edge to his voice. “You like sweet. Food, places, people—isn’t it better if they’re sweet?”
Paimon’s jaw drops open. Hot chocolate dribbles out from the corner of her mouth, sliding down her chin. The question feels like a trap. Is most definitely one, in fact, and even Paimon realizes that.
But Lumine, she doesn’t even blink. Instead, she puts down the coffee, smiling. Lumine is always so nonchalant in the face of Wanderer’s volatility. Paimon doesn’t know how she keeps herself so calm. “Sometimes,” Lumine says lightly, “I prefer bitter.”
