And King or Kon-ich or whatever else it is doesn’t sound like my name, so…” He waves a flippant hand, then seems to recede into himself, tucking the jacket closer around his broad shoulders. It hardly fits. Arthur can recall seeing a myriad of strange scars across his bare chest before he had been offered proper clothes.
Both Parker and Arthur are quiet too, for a bit. Arthur sighs and scratches at his stubbled chin. “Well. I suppose John Doe will have to do for now, won’t it?”

The boy looks up with hazel eyes. There is a look in his eyes that only a son could have for his mother. A desire to make her proud. “My name is Jayce of the House Talis. My father is Edmund Talis. I’ve come to claim my birthright as heir to my House.”
And through his stumbling words, his mother thinks- yes. You will make me proud.
(Or: Jayce and Ximena Talis never make it out of the snowstorm together. Jayce and Viktor meet, decades before they should, as two children of Zaun. This changes everything.)

Summary
Finding out that the Dean of Piltover’s finest academy is a fan of a traveling circus was not something that Viktor had expected. But all of a sudden, he had come up to Viktor and Sky holding three golden tickets and exclaimed that in celebration of Viktor’s new position, they would all be attending. As he looks up at the noisy tent, he cannot help but feel it’s for everyone’s benefit but his own.
Or: Jayce Talis ends his life after the entire world shuns him for his work. Years later, Viktor goes to see the circus and watches a dead man make magic.

God is good.
God is good. God is merciful. God has great hands bound in gold, gloves as soft as silk and hard as ivory, molding the world into a new thing, a solid thing, a beautiful thing.
God is killed, brutally and swiftly, by something of the same lineage. The final Angel in the sky brings the Heavens down with it when it falls. The Blood God and the Angel of Death walk the earth, watching kingdoms fall and lands scorch themselves before their divinity could hope to touch it, before flame might even exist. They watch this broken Earth develop, lost with only a dead God to guide it.
Technoblade and Philza do not claim to be as they are named. They do not deny it, either.
And history always repeats. Trying to execute a God rarely works.

After everything, Arthur and John finally have time to figure out how to get John his own body. It isn't a pleasant process. It turns out that having a fragment of a god excised from your mind has some side-effects, and being a fragment of a god suddenly resident in a human ex-corpse isn't particularly straightforward either.
They'll help each other through it. They always do.

Viktor has always considered himself a reasonable man. Well, he’s not so much a man anymore, more machine than man. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t be reasonable as a machine too
And in Viktor’s personal opinion, it would be reasonable to expect that when one sets a date, one keeps that date. That would be an entirely reasonable assumption to make, no?
So when Viktor shows up to battle Jayce Giopara as per their usual routine, and said Giopara is nowhere to be seen, Viktor was, reasonably, a little pissed off.
He didn't like being stood up.
