Izuku looks down at his lap, his small fingers tracing over a bruise on his stomach. “Papa was angry cause I was too loud. So I cried and took a nap and now I'm awake here... Did Papa take me here?”
Shota exhales and decides that the truth might be too confusing for now. “Well, I'm going to take care of you until you feel better, okay? You're going to be staying with me for now. Your dad's gone. He won't hurt you anymore.”
Izuku looks up, eyes full of hope that dares not be called hope, something so shaky and hesitant but desperate nonetheless. “Really?”
And for once, Shota gives his student a smile. “I promise. Cross my heart.”

Midoriya Izuku is a struggling college student. Yes, those are quite common but there's something a bit special about Midoriya. Well okay, a lot of things. First of all, he's a male omega, which are quite rare. But he decides it's easier to be normal and conceals himself as a beta.
Secondly, he doesn't know what to do with his life. His mind is jumbled and he doesn't know exactly what he should pursue, and what he should do in life. A job as a research assistant catches his eye.
What he doesn't know is that he caught a couple of others' eyes at his new workplace.

Eri sitting in papa’s lap, Keigo’s arm curled around his wife’s and his other around his daughter’s waist, Sho sitting on the floor in front of his mom leaning back against her knees, Izuku hugging Hahaoya’s other arm tightly, and Hitoshi leaning over his dad’s shoulder as the man holds his phone out to snap a photo of the moment.
It’s the photo they put on the top of the family album they’ve been making since the very first night they brought Hitoshi home, adding Sho, then Zuzu, and finally their little Eri until it was complete.
Just like their family.

They chose to go for a celebration dinner, and... to talk about how to proceed in their relationship from here. Izuku didn’t bother to ask permission from his mother, only sending a text, then putting his phone on vibrate and ignoring all her calls and texts. She didn’t send many. Izuku thinks she’s given up on him just as much as he’s given up her.
The thought should make him sad, but... it only made him numb when he thought about it.
He looked down at his medal and it was easy to forget about the bad feelings she gave him. He did it, with Hitoshi and Shouto, and they were all going to be heroes together. So what if she didn’t support him? So what if she didn’t believe in him or love him? He found love elsewhere just fine. He found support elsewhere just fine. He did it all without her.
They wore their medals proudly, eager to enjoy their accomplishments for just this one night — Izuku and Hitoshi had had precious few things like this and often they were snatched away when they did have anything good, and Shouto often had things claimed as Endeavor’s accomplishments, because he was the “masterpiece”. Tonight, they wanted to enjoy something that was solely their own. Something that couldn’t be stolen.
