Sebastian locked onto her gaze. Then pivoted to a table piled high with unclaimed parcels.
"You'll have to tell me more about that, by the way." Shoulders rolled with purpose among boxes and bags. Nearly ritualistic, like he'd plundered them before.
A portrait of Paracelsus gave a ghostly side-eye in the greenish gloom. So did MC.
"What're you getting into?"
Paper tore; a cork popped. That was answer enough, but:
"Booze shouldn't be wasted. Finders, keepers."
The last and only time she drank with Sebastian, it was a laugh.
But funhouse mirror sort of laughter. Sweet and sour, cider, skeletons in closets. A man's face where a boy's should be, fading in and out.
A reel playing the unreal.
Still, MC couldn't shake the thought: was it forced? Did he still have some twisted compulsion to make up for… something, despite the fragile peace?
Maybe he was just bored. Big parties got old.
She had asked him to team up in Potions, and they were both planless tonight—so why not chat a bit? Kill the awkwardness, and come away all the more ready for their practicum.
And Sebastian truly drunk? Now that was an intriguing thought.

"Nice necklace," Tonks said as he passed Andromeda a package of Fudge Flies.
"Thank you, it was a Christmas gift," she smiled smugly and ran her finger over the black velvet to the pearl that hung against her pale skin.
"From your parents?" Tonks asked as he popped another Fudge Fly into his mouth.
"No," she said in a soft voice. "Lucius." He stopped chewing.
Andromeda saw his eyes linger on the black pearl a little while longer before he tore his gaze down to the floor. "He, uh, must really like you to give you that," Tonks said, his voice a little harsh.
Andromeda rolled her eyes. "Lucius is an old friend, we grew up together."
"So you're not, uhm," Tonks dragged his shoe across the dusty floor, "like… going out with him?" he asked, glancing up at her through his lashes.
Andromeda snorted. Tonks looked up at her with large eyes. She tossed her head back, her hair falling around her shoulders in waves as she began laughed loudly and the black pearl rolled across her neck.
"Oh, he wishes," Andromeda finally managed.
Tonks chuckled a little.
"Yeah," he said, his dark eyes lingering on her face. "I bet he does," Tonks added softly.

Summary
Professor Sharp’s voice had slowly started to fade into the background. Truth be told, you had barely taken in half of what he had just said. Instead your brain had fallen into a descending spiral of pure panic just after Ominis had uttered those damn words.
‘The Love Potion, sir.’
You couldn’t even bring yourself to look over in Sebastian’s direction, to see if he had put the pieces together as you had. There was nothing you could but go through with the notions of the class. Read the recipe book. Prepare the ingredients required. Enter them into the cauldron as needed. Carefully watch over the liquid bubbling within. Rather annoyingly, you know you’ve done it right when a fresh wave of ‘Eau De Sebastian’ washes over you, looking perhaps a tad psychopathic as you glare down at the pretty pink liquid before you.

Or, the fic where the lesson for todays potion's class is on Amortentia, and both the MC and Sebastian just so happen to smell each other.
