Summary
Eddie Munson lives an exhausting life in the city, working a dead-end job that barely keeps his bills paid. When his uncle Wayne dies unexpectedly, Eddie suddenly finds himself in the possession of the deed to Forest Hills Farm, Wayne's pride and joy and his life's work.
Eddie decides to leave his miserable life and move out to the small town of Hawkins so he can take on the farm. Upon arriving there, he is faced with a mess of a property and a whole host of townsfolk eager to meet him. Except for the one supermarket in town who's manager immediately marks Eddie as an enemy.
Struggling with his grief over the loss of his uncle, as well as his own sense of inadequacy as he is faced with running an entire farm, Eddie finds himself adrift and uncertain about how to keep Wayne's memory alive. Luckily for him, a handsome man from the town, Steve Harrington, seems fully intent on helping Eddie find his footing in this strange new life of his.

“Eddie’s Top Secret Plots’ was scribbled onto the cover, along with a doodle of a cannon firing off a shot. Ah, so Eddie must have been planning out the strategy for his next session with the Party.
The temptation to snoop was sure tempting. If he knew what the Dragon-Master was gonna throw at them, he could totally psych Dustin out. It’s not like Eddie would be mad for the free mind-games. Yeah, he loved fucking with his players all the time, wouldn’t be a problem.
If the notes were all boring math calculations, Steve would just keep his mouth shut and wait until next week for Eddie to take those numbers and turn them into story-telling magic. And maybe some accents too, he loved it when Eddie broke out into an over the top British accent.
