“Mind telling me what this is?” Hua Cheng asked.
Curious, Xie Lian brought a hand to it, and he traced the delicate filigree that ran along the edges of the box. Hua Cheng seemed to think that he knew what it was, but he really couldn’t recall. It wasn’t until his hand laid flat on the lid of the coffer that something suddenly clicked, and it brought a mortifying memory to the surface.
All the blood quickly drained from his face, and he clutched the lid tightly enough to whiten his knuckles, too.
“You already know what this is… don’t you?” he asked meekly.
“I do,” Hua Cheng confirmed. “But I’m curious to know where you found such a thing. Won’t you tell me?”

Nestled within the box was that dreadful child-bearing pill that was almost gifted to Hua Cheng a while back.
Xie Lian suffers the consequences (or rather, reaps the rewards) of hanging on to one of Hua Cheng's birthday gifts.

Quirkless, young adult Midoriya Izuku has a problem. Namely, he has a crush on his purple haired, tired-looking neighbor. They keep running into each other and the guy is actually pretty nice under that deadpan facade, has a sense of humor, doesn't seem to judge anyone for their quirk status, and is constantly spoiling any cat in the building that finds him. (He's also a shameless flirt.)
But Izuku has concerns. About the strange bruises and bloodied knuckles. About the weapons he's seen when stopping by for a cup of sugar. About the shady-looking figures he's accidentally spotted his neighbor meeting with. About the fact that right after the news reported a big crime bust, his neighbor came home beat all to hell and looking haunted.
Izuku has a problem. Namely, he has a crush on his neighbor, who he's pretty sure is secretly a villain. And he has no idea what to do with that.
(or: Adult!ShinZuku AU where Shinsou is an underground, undercover pro hero trying to find a lead on a case that may or may not involve the socially awkward guy living next door. Misunderstandings abound.)

A pale hand slipped from his pocket and Chrollo brushed back his dark hair, turning only enough to meet Hisoka’s wild eyes. “Are you?” he gave, the teasing edge of a smile cutting across his perfect cupid’s bow.

“You could’ve done anything for me today,” Hisoka murmured, his voice husky and low as he drove into Chrollo even harder. His hand caught Chrollo under the chin, forcing his head up with a warning squeeze to his throat. “Anything at all. We could’ve had dinner or watched a movie or fooled around in the suite, but you did this,” he drove his hips forward, “ instead.”
Chrollo couldn’t speak. He trembled, though. He trembled so hard Hisoka feared his knees might give out entirely. It propelled him on. He wanted to see that happen. He wanted to be the one to make Chrollo fall to his knees like a puppet with cut strings.
He drew his tongue along the flushed line of Chrollo’s nape, sinking his teeth in for a teasingly sharp bite. “Is this a gift for me, Chrollo,” Hisoka wondered, giving him a punishingly deep thrust, “or for you?”

Summary
“Turn around,” the Troupe leader commands, an unusual amount of authority to his voice that sends a shiver down Hisoka’s spine. Just as he had suspected, Chrollo’s gaze is met with clean, pale skin, no tattoo in sight.
“It was a fake?” He asks, though it sounds more like a statement than a question, and there’s a lack of surprise in his tone. Hisoka makes a quick recovery, smirk returning to his lips. Challenging Chrollo to get angry, to punish him for his rebellious acts. Would he let this much slide, now that he has undeniable proof on display before his very eyes? Or, alternatively, what would he do upon deciding that this was the final straw? Kick him out of the Troupe? Hisoka hopes for a more interesting outcome, but won’t deny that it’s a possibility.
He simply can’t tell what’s going on in the man’s head, can’t judge what he’s thinking by that vacant, expressionless stare that sizes him up like prey.
