Abstract: Jayce Talis was the founder of Hextech, a short-lived proprietary technology that was a revolutionary blend of science and magic. He, along with his now-named partner, Viktor, created the Hexgates, the now-defunct rapid transit that put Piltover on the map. Talis was an inventor during the fraught period of time when tensions between Piltover and the Undercity (as Zaun was called then), began to boil over, leading to a brief stint as a Councilor, where he attempted to keep the Hexgates and Piltover safe. Encompassing his time during those years which included the Council Bombing, and culminated into the Battle of Piltover, the Jayce Talis papers (inclusive dates: 959-995, bulk dates: 980-991) include materials related to his early childhood and personal interests, the founding of Hextech and unreleased inventions, the Hexgates, a deeper look into his previously unknown partner's life, and what the world thought of him, both during and after his presumed death after the Battle of Piltover.

He ducked behind a tree trunk once he’d put some distance between himself and the group, pressing his back against the bark as he took deep steady breaths. He waited for the shouting to start, for his name to echo through the trees. But when that didn’t happen, he reached up for the first tree branch above his head.
He used to think that he was born to climb. Back when he was a kid and didn’t know much beyond the fence of Hell’s Gate, he spent every day climbing the trees at the edge of the boundary. He climbed until it became second nature, and he’d reach for footholds on instinct. Now, he shimmied up the young tree with ease, the wet moss a bit tricky to navigate but he managed it.
He crossed between treetops once he was high enough, watching as the recoms finally pulled their friend free. A murmur shot up between them, and their heads turned quickly.

The Second Circle of Hell was struck by a slow season, and it affected Steve and the others at the Bureau for Sinner Guidance and Lodgings. It seemed that whatever they were doing up on Earth level, it was not fucking themselves to death. Sadly, they were engaging in other sins than Lust. When would these people learn that the best afterlife (or afterparty as he preferred to call it) was in the Second Circle?
Just as Steve was about to call it a day and go see if any of the Howling Commandos were down to get nasty tonight (he'd always had a kink for a nice, big police dog, who didn’t), there was a sudden knock on the door. Steve’s eyes flew to the entrance - and then his jaw dropped.
Standing there and looking uncomfortable was the most gorgeous sinner Steve had ever seen.
