Summary
A year after the war, Harry has never felt more aimless. He's failed his Auror exam, is living with George, and doesn’t know where he stands with Ginny. The only thing breaking the monotony of his life is the strange, frequent heart attacks that keep sending him back to Limbo and for which he must take potions with disturbing side effects.
So when the Malfoys move back from France and Harry learns why they returned, he makes it his mission to help Draco through one of life’s greatest hardships: the loss of a mother.

“Is that… you, Viktor?”
It was barely more than a whisper, but he almost couldn’t bring himself to ask in the first place. The question scared him, the coming answer he feared even more. He knew the question was callous and loaded, but he had to know.
Those warm eyes faltered and became reproachful, they averted with a look of guilt, his eyebrows scrunching together. Viktor hugged his good knee tighter to his chest, his short and shallow breathing and his tightened lips betraying the hurt he felt at the question. The creases at the side of his nose deepened in dismay in the way only Viktor's face suited. All of these things told Jayce everything he needed desperately to know; this wasn’t the serene herald, or even the maniacal machine herald.
This was Viktor.
