For some insane reason Princess Azula has betrayed her father and joined the Gaang.
Sokka cannot for the life of him understand why.(Everyone else can.)
But then his rest is disturbed by suspicious sounds from his sister’s tent and Sokka, ever the protective older brother, even takes the risk of bursting into his sister’s sexy time, only to find the two girls having an innocent girls night.
So what is the truth? Sokka sure as hell doesn’t know anymore come the end of the night. And honestly, maybe he doesn’t even want to know.

With no hope of rescue from her friends Katara turns to Azula for help her escape. But escaping from the Royal Palace is the easy part, the walls of Ba Sing Se don’t just keep people out…
Now they are hiding and waiting, when Katara sees a reminder of home it spawns a conversation that is more personal than either her or Azula anticipated.

Summary
It was probably a testament to how much she lost her mind over the past year when she pulled Zuko aside and whispered her plan in his ear.
The newly appointed Firelord probably thought she was deranged for wanting to help his sister that tried killing them only days before, but he offered no objection when he signed it off.
However, Katara never would have thought that it would involve an introspection of herself and a budding relationship with the Princess that shined uncomfortably bright.

Summary
After their victory at Ba Sing Se, Azula and Zuko return to the Fire Nation as champions.
By fate or by chance, Azula discovers the Water Tribe peasant hiding in the lower markets. Katara’s presence draws Azula from the misery of life in the palace and Azula’s fascination with her grows with each day.
Katara’s betrayal is the first of many that send Azula spiralling into paranoia and despair until she chokes on her own flames in a Fire Nation prison.
Katara’s return lights the spark of her future.
