If Kaneki was certain of anything, it was that he knew his life was a tragedy.
He knew fate was cruel to people who were kind, ghouls were unforgiving, and that all the detriments in this world stemmed from a lack of his individual ability. Kaneki could count the number of people he trusted on one hand, and he knew he needed to protect each and every single one of them at all costs, even if it meant taking the more... Consequentialist approach.
That's about all he's sure of though.
What Kaneki's not sure of, however, is why he still sees the ghosts of the souls he's eaten, why he gets hallucinations of other peoples' memories, what is and isn't morally ethical, and why the darkest voice in his head... is his own.
AU where Kaneki gains the memories and abilities of everyone he's eaten, and things play out just a little bit differently. Enjoy~

“H-help m-me,” the boy whispered so quietly, only the animatronic could hear it.
“Shh, shh,” Vanessa says softly. “We will always keep you safe, I promise. All you need to do is keep breathing in and out for me. Can you do that?”It's been 3 months since Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex has burned to ashes. Vanessa, finally free from the evil entity that has cursed her for years, can return to a healthy and normal life working as a computer engineer.
She also decided to adopt Gregory.
Although it’s taking time, the boy is starting to warm up to both her and his new home more and more with each day, even if the main reason why was because Freddy lived there too. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean that things will always be easy for him.

Eddie suppressed his smirk as he heard Venom scoff loudly from the vicinity of his shoulder blade.
“Not a fan of Stephen King classics, buddy?” He asked, shoving a handful of popcorn in his mouth as Pennywise held up a paper boat on the TV.
Humans’ collective fear of clowns is...pathetic. They are just pale men in large shoes with unattractive hair. We see plenty of those in coffee shops every day.
Venom thinks Pennywise is a dumb name name for a clown. Eddie agrees.
He and his symbiote sit down to watch IT: Chapter One on their horror-movie marathon night but both get more than they were bargained for when Eddie is reminded of his father.

Summary
Ken Kaneki was lonely. His life was tainted with tragedy ever since he was little. With a father that died before he could remember and a mother that only neglected and abused him, the boy had no one to really depend on.However, after he discovered his late father’s book collection, he found a way to feel less lonely. Kaneki would spend hours sitting in a corner by the stuffed bookshelf in his father’s laboratory and get absorbed in the many stories that were written in the thick paper.
While books helped him cope with his loneliness, someone else also came into Kaneki’s life. Hideyoshi Nagachika -also known as Hide- could make Kaneki forget about everything (and everyone) that hurt him.That was until his beloved mother passed away and everything changed... After being forced to live with his horrid aunt and her family, Kaneki felt so hopeless, even the incarnation of the sun himself could no longer save him from suffocating pain and loneliness.
