Anyway, within this setting where superheroes become celebrities, Captain Zodiac is the most famous protector of Champion City, despite his identity outside his battlesuit being completely unknown to the public. But he's not our protagonist.
Toby is a young man fresh into university and a quiet Cryptid who has no interest in superheroics. Raised by his older sister and her wife, he prefers to keep to himself with his anxiety bean best friend Jersey, a shy yet extroverted girl he met in high school. She loves superheroes and secretly always wanted to be one.
While Toby has powers inherent to his species of Cryptid, he's content to maintain his quiet life. But how long can these peaceful days last?
