This is the first part of the series, also I'm mostly watching the anime but I will be reading more of the manga when the anime finishes! This series is seriously so pretty though, I love basically any magic system involving art

For most, the boredom of a child is almost endless unless they have the object they want. When a 7 year old who's fascination lies with a book out of her reach she decides to try her best to get it by herself while her mother gets materials. When she finally gets she accidentally finds out the secret of magic though she isn't the best at it, still, she is determined to become a witch no matter what now that she knows they aren't born!

A girl sat perched on a ladder, engrossed in a book. She had hair the colour of young barley. Agott didn't have much time to observe her—the girl startled at Agott’s cry. The wheels of the ladder scooted back, and she tumbled down the length of the bookshelf, hitting the tough floorboards a second after her book with a hard smack.

Born and raised a Brimmed Cap, Coco was once Agott Arklaum's best friend and the only one who found the beauty in Agott's magic. Due to an incident that the rumors are never quite clear about and Agott refuses to discuss, Agott is cast from her family after it is revealed that Coco is a Brimmed Cap and flees, not to be seen again for many years, and not seen in the Great Hall or Tower of Tomes again for seven years. Agott becomes an apprentice under Qifrey after being deemed to have not been complicit in the Brimmed Cap's scheme and allowed to keep her memories.
Two years later Coco shows up at the door to Qifrey's Atelier with an unconscious Agott in her arms, claiming to have removed herself from Agott's memories for the girl's own safety. She swaps her and Agott's tassels and then leaves her with Qifrey, scarcely being seen for another five years. But five years after that day she shows herself to Qifrey once more, removing her brim for good and choosing to walk the path of a Pointed Cap witch.TLDR; Coco is a Brimmed Cap for fifteen years, although not necessary a good one. She's over here looking at the Pointed Caps and singing Part Of Your World.

Instructed one day to attempt entry into the Tower of Tomes, Coco happens upon a rather combative librarian with the most beautiful light magic she's ever seen. If only the librarian would sit down for a chat instead of relentlessly bombarding Coco with fireballs. Oh well, Coco's sure she can make a friend of the girl one way or another.
Agott has finally achieved her long sought-after dream of joining the Tower of Tombs as a junior librarian -- and in all honesty, it's not quite what it was cracked up to be. The other librarians aren't exactly welcoming, the work isn't all that fulfilling, and there's a certain brimmed cap who won't stop throwing her life into chaos.

In this Forgotten story Subaru has not been stuck in a death loop with his name eaten for years like many other stories but instead has only been tortured for a week without dying by the usual suspects of Felix, Julius, Garfield and Ram. By the end of the week Emilia visits and denounces Subaru as an Archbishop of Sin leading him to snap and lose all faith in his bonds. For whatever reason, under orders from Pandora, Roy releases Subaru’s name and memories of his heroism return to the world.
Not sure what arc I’m basing on but it’s after the eradication of one camp so she and her camp won’t appear in the story.

an AU where it is Iguin that takes on Coco as an apprentice instead of Qifrey [though Qifrey has a major part in this story]
Coco knew logically that there was magic that was not taught. Magic that could help the sick and disabled. Magic that could improve the lives of others. Laws, they say. There are laws that ban witches from practicing the full extent of their magic, laws that ban them from helping heal the sick, even helping them. They way of the Pointed Caps are as selfish as the Brimhats are cruel. She will find a balance between the two that will help the people of her world, for better or worse.

An eye glistens in the light beneath the pointed hat. Of dangling ornaments and a tied-up ribbon swinging in tow.
“Unshackled from your self-imposed restraints? Of being granted the freedom and power to use magic to its limits?”
A cloak drapes down fully as the figure lands gracefully on the ground. An arm outstretched to the girl on her knees.
“Wouldn’t you like to be a true witch?”
And Coco couldn’t help but stare at Iguin. At the eye of the world. Time seems to pause, as if making fun of her dilemma. And at this moment, grabbing that hand doesn’t seem so bad.
-Or Iguin appears, Coco comes along with the brimmed hats, and things change.

Even before she knows what her essence looks like, she's still quite visibly an aberrant- after all, only an aberrant could survive Rapture harvesting. Only an aberrant could survive the kind of stress that leaches all color from their bodies.
Only an aberrant could be known as "the weakness of the Sea Wolves." Given that such comments are usually made in reference to her ghostly appearance, she can only imagine that she's living evidence of their failure, not least because she refuses to be anybody's weakest link.
