Summary
Henry laughs, wiggling his fingers as he reaches for the bottle before taking a sip of his own, “Fine. Never have I ever…been walked in on during sex.”
Alex shakes his head with a shudder, “I’ve walked in on too many people. Door stays locked.”
“Wise man.”
Alex taps his fingers against his chin, pursing his lips. His expression falters for a moment, eyes shooting over to glance at Henry before returning to stare out the window, “Never have I ever…had sex in a treehouse.”
Neither of them drink.
“Huh.” Alex says, eyes unreadable, “Do you want to?”
Henry has made many mistakes in life - most notably allowing Pez to talk him into an ill-advised keg stand that made him vomit all over his shirt - but he can’t bring himself to regret sleeping with Alex Claremont Diaz, campus' most renowned player.
Until Alex gets it into his head that he wants seconds, and Henry isn’t strong enough to not get feelings, so he does what he does best. He pushes him away.
But Alex isn’t one to give up easily.

Summary
Henry stutters slightly as he gets his next words out, a flush spreading across his cheeks and Alex does an internal fist pump, “Can I have a bouquet please?”
“What kind?”
“You know what kind.”
“We have oh so many types of bouquets in our wonderful establishment, I truly will need more from you in order to fulfil your order.”
“You are a menace.”
“Sir, please do not harass me when I am trying to do my job.” His teeth are nearly drawing blood with how deep they are sunk into his lower lip, trying to hold back his smile.
“Plague.”
“Sir, once more and I will have to ask you to leave.”
Alex is a local florist, and Henry has found a new go to for sending his failed one night stands flowers.

“And goddamn last but not least on my Hit It and Don’t Quit It list would be the Saracens rugby player Henry Fox. That man has great depths, and he could so easily plumb my depths, if you know what I’m saying. An all-around fantastic player, but also someone who is ridiculously smart off the field. And we all know by now that everyone on this list features my mile-wide competency kink. Henry, if you are seeing this, we could play around with some balls that aren’t just in play.”

This whole thing is Nora’s fault, actually, and he will hold this against her for the rest of their natural lives. Possibly into the next. His personal life is fine. It’s possible he was whining about not having dated anyone since his last boyfriend, but this event is so clearly not going to fix that problem.
Or: Alex wasn’t expecting to meet anyone at speed dating, let alone anyone like Henry.

“Guys, what’s going on?”
“I need you to keep an open mind when I tell you this. You can’t freak out,” she begins.
“The women in the Diaz family are… Well, I guess there’s no delicate way of saying this. They’re well versed in witchcraft.”
Henry just stares.
“The tea you drank…That wasn’t…”
“You got brujeria’ed, my dude.” Nora jumps in easily.
“June… What is happening to me? I thought they liked me, I thought… They cursed me?” He asks incredulously, hurt, shameful tears welling in his eyes. Henry feels utterly gutted, scooped clean like fresh salmon at the market.
They had been so kind to him, even when they left the wedding. Abuela had said ‘bendiciones,’ he swore that meant blessings. Did they secretly disapprove of him for Alex? Maybe they couldn’t accept him over the cultural differences after all, and—
“H, I think you’re pregnant.”
His train of thought plunges straight off a cliff and into the ocean. Everything is muffled except for a loud ringing in his ears.

With a sudden movement, he closes the distance between them. Lips meet in a chaotic mess, clearly not finding any rhythm. Soon, his lips leave Henry's, and he finds solace in Henry's throat, sucking and kissing. Henry's head is completely blank, everything is happening so fast that he cannot process it. The sensations around his neck are too familiar, a ghost of someone, something endearing.
"Oh, Alex!" Henry moans.
All the movements come to an abrupt stop at once. He straightens up to meet Henry's eyes, which were still closed. Henry slowly opens them, wondering what was happening.
"Henry, my name is Jacob."
"I know," Henry says, looking baffled.
"You said Alex. My name is not Alex."

Summary
After Henry kissed Alex on New Year’s Eve, then ghosted him for two months, Alex was furious. But when Alex finally got Henry alone in the Red Room the night of the State Dinner, Henry apologized for his behavior, and the pair seemed to have worked things out. Even though they agreed to keep things ‘casual’, Henry invited Alex to his upcoming polo match, offering another opportunity for the two to spend time together.
Then Henry goes radio silent after returning to London, withdraws from the polo match, and unexpectedly enlists in the military, ghosting Alex a second time. After some angry text messages, Alex writes him off and tries to move on with his life.
When Henry shows up at the White House almost a year later asking President Claremont for political asylum, Ellen has to figure out how to protect Henry while not starting a war with Britain, and prevent her son from causing another international incident, all at the same time.
Or… Henry ghosts Alex (again) after the State Dinner, then shows up at the White House ten months later requesting political asylum.
