"Probably not," Logan says, something in his spine still shaking even now, and Wade looks at him with those huge dark eyes that look--hurt, maybe, heartbroken, and Logan knows he has to get up and leave before he can't.
Each step is agony increasing, the thing in his spine trembling ever-harder and then Wade calls his name and he stops, turns, sees those eyes again; pleading, desperate.
A rush of emotion slams into his hindbrain, it feels half foreign and half his own; don't do this can't do this without you please stay please stay stay stay stay let me stay stay stay
"Come home with me," Wade blurts out, and Logan finds that he's taken steps toward Wade without realizing it, closing the yawning gap between them, and the thing in his spine relaxes just a little.
"Okay," he says.
(In which something very interesting happens underneath the Time Ripper, and Wade and Logan deal with the aftermath.)

“Don’t worry, baby boy. We’ll keep you safe.” Wade drawled out. His voice low, reassuring and coaxing something hot to curl up in the pits of Logan’s stomach. His fingers itched to grab Wade by the chin but he kept them tight on the wheel instead until he got a whiff of scent that suddenly spiked.
From the rearview mirror, he saw a blush on “Wolvie’s” face. Logan fought to bury the growl creeping out of his throat. The little punk. He was staring at Wade like he’s a piece of meat.

OR: Cagefighter Wolverine fights and gets kidnapped by an interesting masked man called Deadpool and his companion, a gruff old version of him named Logan. It was for his own safety, they said.
But when Wolverine finds himself wanting to know Deadpool more intimately, he ends up at odds with the older Logan, who is not going to let Wade get taken away without some bloodshed.

Another groan, and Wade is now sure of what he is hearing. Logan is not groaning out of pain, no, he’s groaning out of pleasure, over and over again.
Now, Wade has a few options here – he could leave the room and ignore whatever is happening on the other side of the wall. He could also stay there, see how long it takes for Logan to finish to come up with a joke or two to tell once he’s out of the bathroom. Or he could stay there, listen, and give to his body what it clearly wants.

“What I know,” Logan interrupts viciously, “is that we’re not friends. I know you want us to be, that you think we are, but we’re not. As far as I’m concerned? You’re a stranger to me. And what you should know, as a person with some common fucking sense? Is not to badmouth someone’s fucking boyfriend in the same breath you’re asking them for a goddamn fucking favor.”
If Wade had a pin on him, he’d drop it just to test that theory.

It wasn’t immediate. The first month or so, Logan went to jobsites, did his work, and came home without a second thought. Then one day Wade made some offhand comment about how the shitty bathroom floor tiles absorbed blood like a fucking sponge and it was nearly impossible to scrub out and suddenly he was noticing different types of tiles and grout and piecing together the ideal floor materials for two guys with a healing factor and a penchant for coming home blood soaked.
From then on it was like the floodgates had opened and he couldn’t stop himself from taking mental notes at every job he worked. He wasn’t actually planning on buying something. He was just looking.
For the future.
DISTANT future.
Except…
The TVA had given him a truly disgusting amount of money he wasn’t doing anything with and real estate was a decent investment. He didn’t have to do anything with it if he didn’t want to.
It’s not like he was going to find anything he liked anyway.

But then Wade gives Logan a shrewd look, like he sees through all his bullshit and steps closer to say, soft and seductive, “Or am I wrong? Is fighting what turns you on, peanut?”

This fic is refreshing and healing. It doesn't drag. This fic strikes a fair balance between smut and story. It also does something few ever do... And that's describe the inner conflict of a character without belaboring the point or tediously agonizing over it... Wolverine isn't a neurotic character, and the Worst (Best) Wolverine is so low maintenance and easygoing in the movie that some might see the need to force angst and struggle where there just shouldn't be.
