The boy -because he would always be that extraordinary, mischievous, quick-witted boy from the Pentagon to him- turned to face Erik with a bright smile.
“Magnets!” Peter greeted as he lifted the goggles from his face. “Long time no see, huh?”
“Indeed,” Erik said as he finally stopped before the boy, taking in his familiar yet aged features with a new appreciation. They hadn’t had a chance to speak after the whole situation with En Sabah Nur, but it was nice to see that the talented young teen from all those years ago had found a place that appreciated his gifts in the X-Men.
After giving a nod of reassurance to the wary mutants still standing around them, Erik waited until they all dispersed before asking the boy curtly “So, to what do we owe the pleasure?”
Peter’s eyes widened just a fraction in alarm. “The Professor didn’t tell you?”
“No. Feel free to enlighten me.”
Letting out a sigh, Peter shook off the panic with a sheepish smile and announced, “I’m your new liaison, congratulations!”

Summary
Suddenly, the clear sound of a qin rang out and the fierce corpses around them momentarily froze, as if stunned by the chord that had been played and a group of senior Lan cultivators joined them in the fight and finally it felt as if the balance had tipped in their favour. Around them, swords with beautiful blue sword glares sliced through rotting flesh and dark blood almost seemed to create a mist. The qin continued playing and soon, a xiao joined in as well. Still, it took too long until the final corpse finally fell and when it did, so did Wei Changze. The exhaustion and blood loss finally won out and he lost consciousness, before he even hit the ground.
Or: Lan cultivators save Wei Changse and Cangse Sanren from certain death and take them to the Cloud Recesses to heal. From here on, the story changes.

There’s so much chaos happening what with Past Him still seizing on the floor due to the cardiac dysrhythmia, everyone’s attention diverted away from the Infinity Stone they had been fighting over moments before. Well, the attention of all but one other person.
Tony has made a lot of rash decisions that have led to less than appealing results in his time. Mistakes were something he had in spades. Even though he prided himself with thinking on his feet and making a quick judgement call when needed, he didn’t always get it right the first time around.
This, unfortunately, is one of those times.

Summary
Wei Wuxian gets caught sneaking into Cloud Recesses.
But since he can't tell the truth - that he's just here to deliver his teacher's most recent love letter to her soulmate who's stuck in a cave - he tells a lie instead. He says that he's a Jiang disciple that had arrived late and so had snuck in through the gates. He hadn't expected the lie to work, sure that it would unravel as soon as they found a Jiang to verify it, but instead Jiang Yanli backs up his story, and even adds to it.
Which is how he ends up masquerading as the first disciple of Lotus Pier while trying to figure out how to get out of Cloud Recesses without anyone discovering that he's the disciple of Baoshan Sanren.
