A rockstar cop faces a murder case that may prove hard to solve when he's got unresolved feelings for 2D.

Summary
After 2D's made an album without him, Murdoc keeps having bothersome thoughts about his own role in the band - and in 2D's life. Neither making music or drinking can distract him from the fact that something's changed between them. Sleepless and frustrated, he starts hearing - or hallucinating? - strange sounds in the night. The situation feels untenable; something's got to give.
When a letter arrives with an offer of an artisan instrument if only Murdoc travels to a small town in the English countryside, he feels strangely compelled to go. 2D, Noodle and Russel invite themselves along, but they all get more than they bargained for when it turns out the town has a sinister secret... -

Summary
Everything is intimate when it's new, until words become worn and the body leaves indents for hands like memory foam, marked even in absence. Once 2D shares a drunken night with Murdoc, they spiral into sharing far more than intended, all under the guise of casual sex. It's ironic to call it no strings attached when 2D's being played like a puppet.

Maedhros is eighteen months out of an abusive relationship, but he's doing well. He's going to therapy regularly. He's living on his own, and he's getting his doctorate in linguistics. Sure, he's still got issues with sleep, food, self-esteem, dating, and sex, but who doesn't have issues with those things? Besides, his new roommate Fingon is great to have around and seems surprisingly invested in being his friend. Sure, Fingon is straight and has a girlfriend, but Maedhros doesn't mind. He's not ready to date again anyway, and Fingon is such a good friend.
All the sex that eventually takes place between Maedhros and Fingon is consensual. The r/nc tag refers to past events, as well as flashbacks, nightmares, and recollections about them.
The title comes from Maggie Rogers’ new song, “Anywhere With You.”
