ON HIATUS
He lifts it, pointing at the dragon. "Don't move," he whispers shakily. The dragon huffs and Luke thinks that had it not been injured, Luke would've definitely been in its stomach by now.
That's when his eyes catch another movement. He turns his crossbow immediately, meeting a smaller figure that reveals himself from under the dragon's chin, hands lifted into the air. His clothes are torn, blood covers them all over, armor hanging precariously from his chest, and Luke's eyes meet two brown ones through the broken visor of his helmet. Mandalorian, he notices fearfully and bites his lip, squeezing the crossbow. "I'll shoot," he warns, squaring his shoulders to look larger. "Don't move."
The Mandalorian takes another step to the right, just at the right place to cover the dragon's wound—though Luke only vaguely notices—and lifts his hands again. Luke's breath hitches in his throat when he notices the fear that swims in his brown eyes. "Don't shoot," he whispers, fingers curled into fists around torn gloves. "Please."
Or, 5 times Luke meets Din and his dragons in the forest and 1 time he meets them somewhere else.

Summary
Luke is five when he's forced into slavery and given to Jabba's teen son as a whipping boy to play with. Years of torture later, he manages to escape the Hutt's, but he doesn't quite escape slavery.
Vader is certain the Force is delivering a special brand of divine punishment. Every day, Vader hears the voice of the son he killed tell him how much he loves him, and about a day his darling son never got to live because his father was a monster who killed his mother and his beloved child. It gets worse five years into the life his son should've been living. After years of listening to his dead son's voice, Vader gets increasingly reckless. During one of his strategical emergency landings on some backwater jungle planet, Vader learns that maybe, just maybe, the Force didn't hate him as much as he thought.
Kix, Cody, and the rest of the 501st understand that Vader was manipulated into doing all the things he did. As far as they were concerned, he may as well have had an inhibitor chip. The clones would do everything and anything for their general, even secretly planning treason to keep him alive.

“I see it’s the golden boy of the Jedi, huh?” Din replied cooly, walking around Luke nonchalantly after Luke had thwarted his leg attack. There was a predatory quality to the way they circled each other for a moment amidst the chaos.
“Hardly.” The young Skywalker shrugged, bending in a theatrical version of a bow. “But if that’s what you choose to believe, who am I to stop you?”
Din feinted a blow to the left before striking with the butt of his spear to Luke’s right, and the force rippled in warning. Despite Luke blocking with his lightsaber, it reached its mark on his ribs with a thump. Now in his personal space, Din leaned in close to Luke’s ear.
“But you could stop me, couldn’t you?” Din taunted, his voice a whisper against his helmet.
So why could Luke feel the ghost of the breath against his own helmeted ear? Luke shivered.
“Depends if that’s what you’re into, your majesty.”
or: Luke inherits the Skywalker talent for making everything more complicated (because he just can't keep it in his pants)
