Trinity learns that her abuser had gotten out of prison on early release. She had already been relapsing non stop ever since stealing that scalpel. She spirals even deeper, Dennis, and Garcia try to save her from the deep end, and Trinity tries to hide it as much as possible but soon everyone at work notices….
Who’s going to be there to talk Trinity off the edge of the rooftop when it all comes crashing down? This work is my depiction of a deep dive into Trinity Santos’ battles with mental health, self mutilation, and even some fluff when she realized some people around her do actually care and love her, wanting her to get better and get back to doing what she is good at- working at The Pitt.

Not a question. Not even a suggestion, really. An order veiled as something softer, something less loaded. Garcia doesn’t even look at her; pert buns swaying slightly as she and her perfect posture lead Trinity to the stairwell. How is she still standing like that–after, what, nine hours? Trinity aches. She has blisters from her shitty tennis shoes that Huckleberry insisted she buy–her ratty old gym shoes were fine, by the way–and an omnipresent thudding behind her eyes and the inability to keep her shoulders rolled anywhere but forward. Garcia spins on her heel; her shoes are pristine, white and stitched with fine thread. Trinity wants to die, just a little.
‘You’ve been avoiding me.’
There it is. Trap, meet ass. She’s been told she has a nice one, so hopefully that counts for something.

It's been so long since she's felt this that the promise of it makes her high. When she goes home tonight she won’t have to cut open her thighs, because the joy of dying, of leaving all this behind, of the decision that she’s finally made is the only stimulation she needs. There’s no punishment—this is her punishment. And she won’t be here long enough to do anything about it.
