Mafuyu’s hair clung to her cheeks, long strands dripping rainwater onto the welcome mat. Her school bag hung off one shoulder, soaked through, and she shivered despite trying to stand straight. She didn’t meet Mizuki’s eyes—just stared somewhere near Mizuki’s feet, her brows drawn in the smallest, tight little frown.

He couldn't even get through to Aubrey either. Hero was down to his last option to try and salvage what was left. But he hadn't heard from Sunny in four years. And last he heard, the only time he left his house in the last four years was when he moved out a few days ago.

It did not help. In fact, it made it worse. So, so much worse.
He was sitting on the floor of Basil’s living room. Aubrey was sleeping on the couch behind him. Kel and Sunny were asleep on either side of him.
What the hell?
Or, Hero gets stuck in a time loop, right before Basil and Sunny both end their own lives.
