“I guess so,” Bogum says, just as light, as if they were only discussing the weather today.
“And Taehyung thinks I’m his boyfriend.”
“Yes.”
He bites his lip, hard. “I’m not a home wrecker,” he repeats.
“I didn’t think you were,” Bogum says, a slight smile on his face like he’s not sure what expression he should make but just knows he’s a nice guy.
“Ok,” Jungkook exhales slowly. “Well then... what now?”
Bogum rubs the back of his neck. “I’m not sure.” He pauses and continues, trying to lighten up the atmosphere. “I can’t believe I’ve just been demoted to best friend. Friend-zoned by my own boyfriend, ouch.”
Alternatively, Taehyung gets amnesia and switches Jungkook, his best friend, for Bogum, his boyfriend. Chaos ensues.

A few seconds later, the alarm goes off, and Taehyung looks up as Jeongguk reads over the results, watching his face for any sign of good news. Any second now, he’s going to tell him it was a false alarm and that he’ll be okay—but then that never comes.
