Soap is disgustingly in love with Ghost and cannot fathom that the man likes him back. Admitting that he would fuck him and marry him has Ghost basically agreeing to both.

Summary
This… this was becoming dangerous. It was right there in front of him, encapsulated in that one single word. The need of it. Their terrible symbiosis.
They were sewn together by breakable thread. Surgeon’s sutures, harsh knots over bloody wounds, not made to last, just willing to hold them together long enough to keep their blood in. They’d learned to avoid sharp objects, their conversations carefully side-stepping the knife-edges of words that threatened to sever each stitch.

When a routine mission goes haywire, Soap and Ghost are left stranded deep in the mountains of Eastern Europe. Left alone, injured and reeling with the aftermath, honesty seems come to the surface between them a lot more easily than usual.

Summary
He looks at Soap's back for an exit wound and closes his eyes in relief when he sees it. If Ghost had to dig around for a bullet, he knows it'd kill him. He's only faintly confident that the bullet entered above his lung. The blood flow is slowing a little, but Soap is more alert than Ghost thinks he should be. That can't be good.
"My gram made us go to church… learned ‘bout heaven…" Never mind. He's delirious. He must be.
"Soap, stop talking." Ghost smacks Johnny’s hand as he flinches from the antiseptic sting and tries to push Ghost’s wrist away.
"I've done this too long to go there… you think it's real?" Soap’s shaky exhale seems to echo around the room.
"Johnny, please." The plea falls on deaf ears.

“Everything I want is scary, Johnny,” he hisses, gritting out his trembling fear between clenched teeth.
“But you want ‘em, do you?”
The world takes a moment, lets the crickets, the tick of clocks and the shuffling of feet lull to leave room for silence. Ghost gets that itch, that throb in the pit of his stomach and that voice in the back of his head that calls him a coward as he lets the quiet draw on, unable to let one simple word free. What makes it so hard? Why can he litter concrete with blood and shell casings but he can’t utter a single syllable? Three letters. Three letters and Soap will stop staring at him so fucking patiently, perfect and undeserved.
He digs his canines into his tongue until he tastes copper and bites out an agonized “Yes,” if only to see the lazy grin that spreads across Soap’s pleased face.
“Then get on the bed.”
