Summary
Alexandria, the daughter of General Bryce, was beside herself when the Autobots requested her to be their Ambassador. Hope had come from the stars to heal the broken world, and she could not be more eager to help in saving mankind.
But after months learning and bonding with these extraterrestrials, she has begun to realize something is very, very wrong. The Autobots are kind, but almost too kind. Too indulgent. And too dismissive of humans. And they are interfering with her communications to the outside world.
For her own safety, she flees the Autobot base before the situation escalates.
She has no idea just how much she means to the Autobots, and to their leader Optimus Prime. Or the lengths they will go to not lose even one sparkling.

Definitely one of the must reads of this genre. There is a lot of angst but a nice helping of fluff too.
Optimus is the main caretaker in this story.

The MC is human one minute and then sparkling another. It's hard changing species, especially when their new bond hurts them when they're too far from the mecha they've bonded with. Things only get more complicated after they've accidentally bond with a mecha from an enemy faction. Now their parents are going to HAVE to stay close to each other, at least for a while.
The main caretakers are Soundwave and Jazz.
MC is turned into an infant.

Earth barely managed to avoid its own annihilation thanks to the last second assistance of new alien visitors. Slowly, civilizations that had been nearly destroyed through nuclear warfare, famine, and disease are rebuilt with the Autobots' help.
But the Autobots' assistance isn't entirely altruistic. Earth has something they want. Because mixed with the millions of others are humans with spark signatures and the potential to become sparklings. And the Autobots who had believed they were doomed to a slow extinction, have no intention of letting their new little ones go.

This is definitely one of the top human sparkling fics for a reason. I

Summary
Most people like to believe they’d survive the apocalypse. The twins were certain they’d be the first to go, back when humans nearly annihilated Earth through war and disease. But the end of the world turned out to reward adaptability in the worst situations and utter stubborness.
Against their own expectations, they survived. Then kept surviving, even when navigating being taken in by alien robots that call them 'sparklings'.
They moved like the twin stars that made up the gemini constellation—gravity damning them to never be apart, rules never sticking and authority never landing in their orbit. The twins listened to no one but each other, operating on the same wavelength and ignoring everything else… except, apparently, other twins who seem wired the same way (to everyone's surprise).

This is a truly amazing fic involving twin human sparklings! One of the humans is also chronically I'll, complicating things and adding a bit of angst.
This is definitely one of the "must reads" in the genre. It is popular for reasons that will become increasingly more obvious the more you read it.
