Zali is the moon, calm, serene and perfect to watch on those restless nights. Vanta is the sun, whose smile is blinding and bright, covering each room he enters with a sweet, shinning glaze. Wilson is a star sparkling defiantly in the dark sky, like a ray of hope when you feel like nothing is going your way.

Goro remains still as Ren’s suitcase rolls through the living room and the front door closes behind him. He’s only released from his tight posture after the echo of Ren’s footsteps in the stairway outside fades into something distant and unrecognizable.
A cold chill washes over the condo. Despair settles deep down in Goro’s bones, stealing all of his strength away from him.
He’s gone. He’s really gone. Goro’s been dreading this day for months, and now it’s finally here.
“So. Guess we’ve got two weeks all to ourselves.” Morgana leaps back onto the bed and offers Goro’s hand a supportive headbutt. “Think you can handle it?”
Of course he can. But why should he have to?Maybe Goro doesn't have the right to get upset about Ren's vacation in Paris. He chose not to go with him, and he knows that Ren deserves the rest. But leaving him to fend against Morgana and his own insecurities by himself for two weeks seems too cruel to forgive.

Akira is no stranger to nightmares. They just usually don't rattle him as much as this one did. The echoes of Maruki's reality still live in his head, even though the biggest consequence he faced for his decision has since turned out to be a lie. That does mean, of course, that Akechi is alive and well and can absolutely call him on the phone exactly when Akira least wants him to.
He usually tries not to talk too much, either. Not to reveal too much when it's unnecessary. Akechi gets it out of him anyways. He always does.
The only thing Akira would feel more anxious about is if Akechi then decided to invite himself over in the middle of the night.

In the city of freedom, it was customary to wear one’s heart on one's sleeve – in quite the literal sense of the word.
Love was not something to be ashamed of, nor something that needed to be hidden away. Hiding one’s soulmark was not necessarily frowned upon – people from all corners of Teyvat visited Mondstadt after all, bringing along their own soulmark customs – but it was usually a clear indication of what archon said person worshipped.
In Liyue, soulmarks were considered to be more of a sacred thing, and were usually only shared with people one had already grown close to.
In Snezhnaya, showing off one’s soulmark in public was outright illegal, despite the Cryo archon being considered a goddess of love.
Kaeya didn’t know what Khaenri’ah’s policy on soulmarks had been in the past, but he did know for a fact he preferred to keep his own mark hidden.
He wondered if, had the people of Khaenri’ah not been cursed to never be able to see their own soulmarks, his views might have been different.

freodore hums. “how do i explain it? it’s as if…” he trails off, staring thoughtfully at the open book in front of him. “the writers are only interested in getting the couple to kiss by the end—or, sometimes, as soon as possible—when in fact, i don’t believe a good romance even requires a kiss. it’s all monotone, with hardly any interesting interactions that create a proper, compelling reason for them to be falling for each other, or any insight into their individual lives apart from one another. it also feels like there’s always the same sort of dynamic in these books, making them very predictable after a certain point. it's genuinely become a struggle to point out something unique about these kinds of books in my reviews.”
(or, the fic where book critic freodore gets assigned a novel that not only touches the deepest depths of his heart that no author has ever been able to reach, but also hits suspiciously close to home.)

Alarm bells quickly went off in Alhaitham’s head. A fluke, certainly. He must have not pressed the button hard enough. It wouldn’t be the first time a small mistake like that happened.
He presses it again, harder this time to ensure that it was actually turned on.
Nothing.
Okay. Maybe he should be panicking a little bit now.
