Summary
In which Joel is the crown Prince, heir to the throne, and Etho is an assassin, sent to kill him by a neighbouring kingdom. His plot fails and Joel lives. When caught, Etho is arrested but before he can be sentenced to death for conspiracy against the crown, Joel begs for Etho's life to be spared, so they send him away to work in the battalion army, and Joel doesn't hear from him again.

~~~Joel's parents are dead, and with war threats from all sides, Joel is to be coronated and married as quickly as possible to secure his leadership of the Kingdom. However, with threats of war comes threats of assassination, and Joel is assigned a bodyguard, a 'specialist protector'. Summary
This wasn't how Tango expected his wednesday to end up - then again, who expected to die on any random day? In his boredom and pity of his shitty life and shitier death, he decides to pay closer attention to that detective working on his case. Maybe he can help him solve his murder, and that might wrap his story up to a finished ending? Yes, if Jimmy writes the last paragraph to Tango's story, he'll pass on for real, and leave this miserable place for good. It just happens to be that Detective Solidarity also has a really cute cat.
TLDR: Tango becomes a ghost and decides to help Detective Solidarity solve his murder case, because that would bring him the closure he needs to move on.

Shoulders hunched, eyes averted, no one dared meet her gaze for long.

Grian has had his soul torn apart six times.
It’s a feeling he can’t describe. A feeling he doesn’t want to describe, because describing it would mean reliving it, and Grian has gotten good at shoving the memories further down than he can reach. But, soon, no matter if he wins or loses, that six will become a seven. And likely, that seven will become an eight. It will keep going, on and on, either until the Watchers become bored or until his soul is so fractured, they can’t piece it back together again.
Unless he escapes. But that’s impossible, he knows it. He’s learned it from experience.
So, he refuses to hope.
Hope is dangerous. Hope will get him killed.

Summary
Jimmy stepped closer, to see what was it that had caused the crater, what was capturing Pearl’s attention.
When he stepped next to her, he spotted a big black something, possibly charred from its tumble through the atmosphere. It had a spiky texture, something that looked like feathers, if it wasn’t for the fact that they wouldn’t have survived the friction of such a long fall. Not to speak of the immense velocity and altitude a hypothetical feathered creature would have to reach to burn up and cause such an impact. Besides, no creature would have shattered upon impact like this thing did, with lavender light seeping through the cracks.
OR:
When Jimmy and Pearl are out in the forest, they find Grian who fell from the sky and forgot who he is. Grian watches. That’s what he’s supposed to do. And the only times he allows himself to be seen is when he runs around at night with Hotguy.
