The owl picked up the painting at a thrift store. He didn’t really seem like the type, but his eyes lit up the moment he saw it. Blitzø thought maybe he bought it as a joke for someone else, but then the owl took it home and put it up on the wall in the middle of his dining room. He stood back with his hands on his hips and smiled all wide at it.
Fucking weirdo.
Whatever. He seemed like an easy target, anyway.
“TADAAAA–ah fuck.”
Blitzø leapt out of the painting and fell flat on his fucking face.

Summary
A young man named John Hall was a college freshman in the Anthrostate until an incident outside of his control lands him in legal trouble. He is expelled from school and forced to immediately enter into the State’s Special Assignment Program, which is usually reserved for political dissidents and runaways.
He is assigned to Officer Astra Williams of the State Inspectorate Division, a Timber Wolf, and his new State issued wife and handler. Things aren’t always what they appear, and as John and Astra navigate their newfound situation, a bond slowly begins to form.

But does Stolas live in an isolated, cold, dark house and wear fancy, old-time-y clothes because he's a vampire, or is he just Like That? And can Moxxie convince Blitzø that making out with him "nasty style" is a bad way to find out?
