Cheeky gathered what remained of his pride. “You won’t get what you want for me.”
“Oh, I’m sure I will.” Mr Tips huffed a laugh. “I’m a very rich man, I don’t need the money, I’d much rather watch you suffer.”
He pulled again and this time Cheeky stumbled after him, was hauled into the garish daylight to be presented before the auction attendees.
