Eiji gazed up at him defyingly, he was not backing down from this fight.
Looking dead into his eyes, he ripped the red converse off of his foot and spoke with determined purpose, “I refuse to believe that.”
“What? That we live on the streets, or that we’re filth?”
“That you are filth. It is simply not true. You may believe what you want about yourself, but I refuse to let you live like filth.”

Summary
After the events of the prank in fifth year, Sirius experiences one of his worst summers yet, and gets disowned by the Black family. Alone and afraid to contact his friends, Sirius is taken in by questionable people and picks up their even more questionable habits in a sad attempt to forget his past. Returning to Hogwarts a shell of who he was, Sirius struggles to adjust to sixth year with his friends just out of reach yet worlds away.

Summary
Tomorrow morning Eiji would finish up the laundry and scrub out all the bloodstains. He would pad around the apartment and throw away the towels that weren’t worth saving and add rubbing alcohol to their grocery list, making sure they were well prepared for the next makeshift surgery.
Tomorrow afternoon Ash would swallow down three Advil dry and take a shower and check up on his boys, making sure they were well prepared for the upcoming gang war. He would buy more bullets and forget how Eiji looked at him.
But right now, in that gentle aftermath, Ash let himself feel it all. The shame and the pain and the care that congealed across a ruddy wound.

Summary
"The rush stops when his muscles relax under the steaming water. An odd image of tea leaves brewing sadness floats around in his daydreams. Tearing himself from the relaxing steam, he dries off, brushes his teeth, lotions, and shoves on some comfy gray sweats and one of Ash’s cashmere sweaters. He won’t tell Ash, but the softness of the sweater and the familiar smell really make him feel more secure.
If anyone looked at him from the outside, Eiji seems perfectly put together."
Eiji's doing his best, but some days even he breaks down. Sometimes he needs to be shown a little bit of that unconditional love that he gives to others, too. Ash and the gang are there and ready to support.

Summary
"If he really never did see Ash again, at least Eiji had the comfort of knowing he was free. Finally, finally, Ash was somewhere no one could touch him, even as that was what Eiji longed to do. He felt like he could die from how badly he wanted to hold Ash again, just one more time. But, it wasn’t fair to want something so selfish. Ash was his own person, and he deserved to live for himself, wherever and however that may be."
After the showdown in New York, Ash goes missing. Eiji returns to Japan alone, heartbroken and unsure what to do now. After one year of radio silence from Ash, the two meet again, getting closer over the course of a year, and fulfill the promise of forever.
