Summary
“Don’t go,” Ilya manages to choke out, burying his face under Shane’s chin and squeezing his eyes shut. He inhales sharply, pressing his nose deeper into Shane’s throat to breathe in his scent. Right now, it’s Ilya’s body soap, vanilla and spice, masked under salt and skin. He inhales it like it's his own personal supply of air, what he needs to extinguish the burning in his lungs.
“Ilya,” Shane says, voice urgent, “you’re shaking, I—your breathing’s too fast—” He tries to pull back, needs to see Ilya’s face, needs to see what’s wrong, but Ilya just shakes his head and clings tighter.
“Please don’t go, Shane,” Ilya whispers, pleading. I’m sorry, please don’t go, don’t go—
OR: ilya and shane accidentally recreate the tuna-melt day, and ilya realizes just how much old wounds hurt.

Summary
“...Hollander,” He hears Rozanov say, urgent like it’s not the first time he’s said it. “Shane,” he follows it up with, and that snaps him out of it. He’s never called him that. Shane, reluctantly, lifts his face a little, eyes glazed over as he meets Rozanov’s eyes.
“What?”
“You stink,” Rozanov says, concern dripping. “No, you—fuck. You reek. What is—” Ilya’s fingers lift up, tugging at the scent patch, revealing more of the spot beneath it. Even Shane can smell himself at that point. He does reek. Reeks of heat, of Omega, of honey and sweetness, of something that would melt on your tongue.
Shane reefs himself back. The Omega inside him aches, mourns, whimpers at the loss of contact. It’s needed, though. He scrambles back, hand slapping at his neck to force the peeled patch back down over his scent gland. He backs up till his spine knocks against the bathroom stall.
“You are in heat at award show? Why would you hide this? Why would you not call out sick? Are you—are you insane? You care this much about trophy?”

Summary
Ilya’s hand wraps around his bare wrist and squeezes. Shane barely stops himself from collapsing to his knees.
The pressure lights up every receptor of his touch-starved nervous system, wrenching a small, pained noise from the back of his throat. Every muted sensation comes flooding back so intensely that it almost hurts. He needs Ilya to hold him down until there’s nothing inside him but quiet. He wants to sink into him and disappear.
It takes Shane an entire beat to remember where they are. Fighting against the fog in his mind, he manages to drag his gaze up to meet Ilya’s.
There’s a slow-dawning horror and understanding on Ilya’s face.

He ticks off ‘the works’ on his fingers as he elaborates, “I complimented his work, I name dropped Councilor Medarda, I went on and on about how much her investment really means to us, since you know their families are like this,” he crosses two fingers together tightly.
An effective visual, surely, had Viktor actually been looking.
“Then, I mentioned our project scaling up and he hooked it up for free.”
That, finally, gets Viktor’s full attention. He spins around on his stool, flipping his goggles onto his forehead. The heavy thud of Ekko’s haul is enough to imply just how big of a ‘hook up’ this was.

Jayce’s smile is twice as big as his is, parading himself around and waving at anyone who cheers for him. It’s clear he’s popular with the women in the crowd, as they swoon and wave back to him. He rides over to accept the bundle of flowers, but he does not separate them out to throw them individually but instead rides close to their tent and then tosses the whole bunch up right to Viktor.
He feels his heart jump into his throat as he holds his arms out. The carnations fall into his arms and his heart is pounding. Everyone is either silent or he can’t hear the applause over the blood rushing in his ears.
Never. Ever. Has a knight simply given all the flowers to one person. At least not in all his time watching. He looks up, lips parted in a silent and private display of surprise. Jayce makes eye contact with him, his golden eyes shining in the light, and the smile on his face turns soft.

To secure a peaceful agreement between Piltover and Zaun, after years of war, Jayce and Viktor enter an arranged marriage. Things are still tense between the two kingdoms but at least they find each other agreeable, and then some.
