Summary
This is a standalone sequel to Turns of Fate.
Scott doesn’t have an easy job managing all those fledglings.
Avid/Laetus (he is about to change his name) and Owen are menaces who can’t seem to get along, especially when you throw a doctor into the mix… Sometimes words fly. Drift and Shelby are starting to look like menaces too, but they need to learn to spit it out.
Abolish have something in store for all of them though…
This fic hopes to answer the question: What happens if you shake a hornet’s nest, given that the hornets are vampires and the nest is an inescapable bubble…?!

Summary
Owen, Pyro, and Avid are trying to get the ballroom finished when Owen starts acting out. The way he goes about getting blood and rising to a higher level concerns his fledgling. Owen isn’t particularly good at owning up to his own behavior. He’d much rather avoid his fledgling and walk away from the situation, but he can’t avoid him forever. He knows his fledgling will find him, and when he does, Avid is about to learn what it really means to face a Level Three vampire.

Summary
Once underground, the torchlight revealed more of the chamber.
In one corner lay several weathered velvet cushions, their black fabric faded and worn with age. When he lifted one, he realized it had once been exquisitely crafted, embroidered with golden thread.
As he shifted the cushion aside, he caught sight of wavy chestnut hair beneath a weathered brown cloak.
Then the torchlight flickered. And reflected off a gleaming fang.Avid’s heart jumped. Instantly dropping the pillow, he hurled the torch across the room at the monster without a second thought. A sharp hiss sounded behind him as he leapt toward the stairs.
Panicked, he scrambled up the broken staircase in an attempt to escape the vampire and somehow managed to reach the first floor. Loose stones and gravel shifted beneath his feet, and he stumbled, fumbling…
…
A crack split the wall and spread down through the staircase. Stones and chunks of brick came crashing down as the unstable structure collapsed around him.

"Who were you talking to?” Abolish asks, a curious lilt to his voice.
Frankly, Scott thinks Abolish probably knows already. He does that sometimes, asking trick questions and all that. “Oh, just Aeolus,” he replies with a shrug.
“Right. He talks to you,” he states, then continues when Scott nods without a word, “and y’all were talking about me.”
Scott snorts softly, skipping down the stairs two at a time until he’s right in front of Abolish. “Yeahhh, he wanted me to seduce you, can you believe that?”

“You will be infiltrating the ball, gathering what intelligence you can, taking out any targets you can get away with,” he said, lowering the cup. It was placed carefully onto a leather coaster, as to not mar the table. “You won’t be working alone, however.”
Abolish pursed his lips in order to stop the instinctual protest. As a rule, Abolish worked best on his own. Other people made things… messy. If Oakhurst could prove anything, it could prove that.

Six months after the events of Oakhurst, Abolish is sent to infiltrate a ball for the vampiric nobility. Only, he’d be accompanied by the noblest vampire of them all.

Summary
Scott, Avid, and Owen make it out of Oakhurst as worse people, and decide to live together, ruling a town similar to the one they left fifty years ago.

When Avid lives, Scott feels no remorse. If anything, he feels bored, but leaves the castle to Cleo and Pearl because it's the easiest thing to do and he wants to explore the new world anyways.

Owen doesn't go to Abolish for a cure. He simply stays fighting with the rest and follows Avid and Scott out of Oakhurst.

When Pyro's attempt on Avid's life fails, someone saves him. He repays him in every way possible, but to this day, he still fails to earn his favor.
