    “There’s some missing,” Soap says softly beside him. He jerks his head at the canisters on the floor. “Dewar flasks. Insulated with dry ice tae keep viral samples at -80 C. They must’ve used these tae move ‘em.

    Ghost keys his mic. “Watcher-1, be advised. We’ve found a bio containment vault. Several vials unaccounted for.”

    Laswell’s tone tightens. “Copy, Ghost. Stand by—”

    Soap steps around him to get a better look at the cooling rack. He crouches down, frowning. Ghost turns slightly, waiting for Laswell’s update.

    “Ghost—get down!”

    Soap tackles him from the side, knocking Ghost clear off his feet as the room explodes.
