Sure enough, against the shower wall with her knees pulled up to her chest, sat Hermione Granger. Soaked to the bone, still in her uniform. She stared straight ahead, unseeing. Her eyes were red and her face was wet, but he couldn’t tell if that was only the water or if it was tears, too.
Draco dropped down in front of her, unphased by the water soaking his clothes. His hand curled around her cheek. “Granger?” he insisted, studying her face frantically. Her eyes flicked to his, finally showing a sign of life.
She blinked a few times, her gaze moving to the shower, his clothes, back to his face. As if she suddenly realized where she was, she exhaled. “Fuck. Sorry,” she said, her voice weak. “I didn’t mean to— Sorry, I’ll get up. And go to my room.”
Her sentences were disconnected and jerky, like she could only get a few words out at a time before she had to think about her next ones. She started to unravel her arms from where they were curled around her legs, but Draco lifted his other palm to her face, cupping both cheeks and drawing her attention back to him. “Stop, what happened? Why are you— what’s wrong?”

Her chest burning, as if she drank a barrel of bubotuber pus, Hermione turned to him with narrowed, accusing eyes. "Malfoy...are we dating?"
If there's one thing Hermione Granger knows, it's that she simply doesn't have time to date. Draco decides to date her, anyway.

Summary

Draco Malfoy, locked up for the past seven years and abused by vengeful wardens, is freed and finds himself married to Hermione Granger, who will take him in at her farm in the Pyrenees, where she fled to try to rebuild her life.
But war and imprisonment have left their mark on all of them and between anxiety, agoraphobia and post-traumatic stress, they will have to relearn how to live and not just to survive.This fic is illustrated.
