I don't dip into these fandoms much, but I found this story quite enjoyable. The choice of detail is interesting, and the concept intrigues me. I'm curious to see how these two very different worlds are knit together and what that does to their concept of what heroes should be.

Don't know enough to give a detailed commentary yet, but I always enjoy KoE's characterizations, especially her dialogue.
The biggest point of interest for me right now is that unlike a lot of superhero AUs, this one doesn't have any sort of hero corporation, and heroes are publicly considered vigilantes. It cuts through a common trope in this genre, and I think that will lead to something interesting. -

Smack! A snowball collided with the side of Wilbur’s head.
“Hey, Wil-bur!” Tommy shouted, barreling forth with another snowball. It flew past Wilbur, who nearly fell to avoid it. “Bitch,” Tommy mumbled.
“What do you want, gremlin?” Wilbur pressed, mildly amused.
“I want you to stay!”
“No. We’ve been over this—”
Tommy’s third throw powdered into Wilbur’s face.

Alivebur and Ghostbur have a disagreement over what they should be doing with their life, which results in stacks of letters and their shared body running back and forth from Phil's house to Pogtopia. Hopefully one of these days, Wilbur will come to his senses and appreciate what's in front of him instead of getting stuck in the past. If not, I suppose Wilbur will at least get a lot of exercise.
The descriptions in this story are lovely and full of character. I think my favorite little lore detail is that the blue actually wells up from Ghostbur's hands, so even when he's not present, we can see where he's been and what he's been doing because he leaves blue fingerprints everywhere. It's adorable.

So someone's writing the thematic flipside of my story Out of Sight, Out of Mind, using the universe I built for that story. It's set before Dream builds his server and explores Philza and his decidedly different approach to life.
This isn't just an average SBI story. There's a lot more going on that's decidedly more ominous as the story proceeds.
The author really does a good job of building on the lore I've created with the strange differences between worlds and servers and how that affects people in huge ways. It's super cool to see the story from another POV other than DreamSMP, who's decidedly biased.

Summary
The fallen warrior lies silent and hidden, blissfully unaware of the tiny blessings approaching him. A slight rustle and he is instantly upright and ready for battle, falling so easily into the mindset of the blood-stained weeper. Stillness meets his hawk’s gaze and he reminds himself that if he remains this paranoid he will become everything he swore not to. Convinced of his solitude, he deliberately lays himself back down. This place is peaceful. Silent.
Two boys pop up over him, like trampled daisies in easy synchrony.
In which Phil’s small children give him a heart attack by befriending the god of death.

A semi-mythological AU featuring beautiful imagery and metaphors along with a humorous overtone from the children mixed with sad backstory undertones. Everyone's so in character in an iconic but endearing way, and Tommy and Tubbo are hilarious.
