“I am very skilled, Sonya.” Yelena looks ahead, trying her best to not give anything away.
“Yeah…” Yelena glances to the side swiftly when Sonya trails off. “New body wash, too?”

“Kate Bishop!” The Russian lilt of Yelena’s accent was probably Kate’s favorite part of hearing her name come out of the beautiful woman’s mouth. “You’ve been gone all day. I’ve missed you!”
Kate’s heart only beat faster at Yelena’s heartfelt comment, even if she knew that she was most likely just teasing her. She only met Yelena a few weeks prior, but since then, she’d gotten a pretty good sense of the blonde’s personality; flirty, witty, and only slightly unsettling at times.
It was a wild ride, for sure, but she hadn’t ever looked forward to leaving and coming home as much as she did now that Yelena was around.

She would rather be kicking ass in the undercity and hunting down leads on Kingpin. She’d rather be in a CrossFit class with Greer or at Archery practice with Franny. She does not want to be followed by a junior tyrant with a ridiculous accent, a questionable sense of fashion, and no respect for personal boundaries to name a few redeeming qualities.
Kate doesn’t want to be a politician’s daughter. She doesn’t want to be the CEO’s daughter either. She’d rather be protecting the citizens of New York and eating pizza with her dog. A girl can dream, right? -
