    Jiang Wanyin had claimed Wei Wuxian left when they were sleeping, that they had planned on going back to Lotus Pier, to fight against the Wen stronghold that was there, to reclaim the bodies of Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan - and Wei Wuxian had fled, run, disappeared, vanished.

    He claimed that he woke up, and Wei Wuxian was gone, not a single trace of him in the space they had found to sleep in.

    Immediately, others were giving Jiang Wanyin their condolences for having such a disobedient disciple, for Wei Wuxian fleeing in the night after everything he had caused, leaving the aftermath to be faced alone by Jiang Wanyin.

    Lan Wangji had never believed such a story.

    Wei Wuxian’s bleeding body was right at the centre, strewn across, limbs twisted unnaturally, as though the earth itself had tried to tear him apart. His robes were partly burnt into ash, the rest were charred to his skin, fabric fused directly to flesh. There was no clear boundary anymore, only destruction. Wei Wuxian’s skin however started peeling off his body, the array looked as if it was ripping his skin off, revealing the layer of bloody muscle and sebaceous tissue. His veins were mutilated off, severed by an unseen force, blood pouring freely onto the glowing array beneath him.Wei Wuxian’s screams and sobs echoed across the cave.

    They were raw. Broken. Unrecognizable.

    "Damn, he really just bats his pretty lashes and then he gets whatever he wants huh?

    A story in which Wei Wuxian gets his original body back and the whole cultivation world falls to his knees.

    “I think we have to tell them, Lan Zhan.” He looks at Lan Wangji as he says it, but makes sure to project his voice. Lan Wangji is still frozen, his eyes searching Wei Wuxian’s face, but something flickers in Lan Wangji’s eyes when Wei Wuxian uses his birth name. Wei Wuxian can’t ask the question he wants to, so he gives Lan Wangji a reassuring smile instead, mouths a quick “sorry,” and looks back at Jiang Yanli.
    Hell breaks loose.

    The one where Lan Wangji is caught on Baifeng Mountain - and realizing for the first time that Lan Wangji might want Wei Wuxian the way that Wei Wuxian wants him, Wei Wuxian finds himself unwilling to allow Lan Wangji to suffer the consequences of his actions.
