Summary
All of us were young once, even a weird wannabe doctor and a mercenary with big plans. Strange tides throw them together, tear them apart, and... or is it themselves that get torn apart?
A very AU take on Lu and Julian a good few years earlier. Both of them have a lot to do to become the men they want to be, and maybe to survive.
Among the problems they face is the usual mix of love and war, needs and desires, with a little magic and substance abuse thrown in. Our boys will never be angels, even if they may look the part. -

Summary
"I hate half things, half heartedness, stupid false situations, inverted feelings, pumped up loves, and hand decorated hates. . . . I want things straight and clear or at least I want to be able to see where they're crooked and confused. Anything else is just nasty and so my life is nasty and I am ashamed of it. And I have an albatross around my neck that I didn't even shoot. I simply don't know how he got there." ~ K. A. Porter, Ship of Fools
An extension reweaving, based largely on Julian and Asra’s routes and my own interest in seeing what happens when one changes genres from visual novel to prose narrative and can utilize a specific protagonist within such a compelling world and concept. I’ve concocted and incorporated backstory, attempted to fill in some perceived plot holes with asphalt, trailed a plotbunny or two into the weeds, and thrown in a couple handfuls of spice here and there.
9/27: Now with a little more Val/Lucio. ;) New material is ch. 26.

Summary
We stumbled over this lovely little thing, and things got a bit out of hand. Chapters are -not- necessarily in a chronological order, nor are they supposed to be.
"So instead of being driven by a desire for vengeance, Ardyn just sort of breaks, goes crazy in an entirely different direction and spends the several centuries wandering around as a crazy homeless man until mental institutions become a thing, he gets institutionalized in Niflheim and instantly becomes the subject of early scientific scrutiny until a mad military scientist gets the brilliant idea to use him to turn people into scourge-based weapons.
Lucis, fearing Nifleheim's new weapons, sends Cor to investigate these new weapons and he ends up coming back with a mentally ill immortal and a baby, and yes he's keeping them."

Summary
Lucio has never been good at asking for help, but he’s willing to give the idea of ‘being nice’ a try. Everything else has failed, after all. After death, exile, and being cursed, what’s the worst that can happen?
(Knowing us, probably romance and naughty things.)

Summary
As the title suggets, we'll collect various naughty pairings here. Don't expect anything like overarching plot.
1) Nevermore: Julian meets the Hanged Man and gets more than he asked for
2) Backstreet: Muriel takes out frustration and loneliness on a not so innocent or unwilling victim
3) Consent: Asra has a bad dream, or is it something else? Contains violence and blood magic
4) Hideaway: Muriel gets visited by the apprentice, and things don't go the way he imagined
5) Judging: Valerius can't sleep and would do everything to get some rest. Everything.
6) Bath: All the young consul wanted was some time away from all those stressful people at the party.
7) Kitchen: Muriel comes back to visit the apprentice in her peaceful little shop. Part 2 of Hideaway (because they are so cute, okay?)
8) Masquerade: Asra decides to carry things further than a just kiss after Muriel confesses his affection (AFAB Asra)
9) Oh Fortuna I: What if? Lucio needs to know what life could have been, even if the question stems from a rather selfish wish.

Summary
Trouble seems to stalk Asra wherever he goes, and last night was no different. It wasn't the first time somebody tried to kill him, but usually he at least had an idea why. That several parties seem interested in his well-being though is new.
Julian Devorak, Doctor Devorak for you, thank you very much, is forced into the wrong circles in order to keep up his oath, and meets unexpected people there. What are his sister's connections to the underworld and the mysterious Count? Why does she know that silent boxer so very well, and why is that white-haired, heavily tattooed criminal so... oddly charming? This vaguely Edwardian AU is inspired by the turn-of-the-century London. Think a wild mix of Selfridges, Peaky Blinders and Downton Abbey combined with a good dash of Vesuvian magic...

Summary
Everything has to start somewhere, and in a changing world, new characters enter the stage of the Vesuvian court. The Count himself is not feeling well and is asking for help, and among others, a not-quite-doctor and a magician come to the rescue.
This story is just one take on the mysterious events surrounding the half-forgotten past of our three darlings, the oh-so-dashing count and our beloved snake. We'll see how naughty things get with them...

Summary
In a moment of folly we decided we really should work on our skills in writing smut. The outcomes will be collected here.
Also featured: Another world, where Lucis has won the war against Niflheim. Nobody died, Regis is still on the throne and right as rain, vague Solarpunk influences and maybe one or the other gender swap. Probably not a lot of plot though for a change. -

Summary
"Heavy curtains blocked whatever sunlight there was to be had in the tower, which brought the golden gaze to the center of the room, where the lines in the floor flickered the truest. What the young healer spied there brought him to a sharp standstill. A man, lounging in a dark bed, sound asleep. At first, it was hard to tell if there was anyone at all in it, looking at first more shadow than man, with hair and stubble to match his surroundings. He looked quite comfortable, and it put the healer at a loss."

Summary
Cape Caem is beautiful at this time of the year, especially if you can spend some time at the sea with your best buddies. If you weren't getting married. And your father didn't recently die. And nobody is willing to talk with you about it.
Noctis tries to cope in his own way, and that includes a man that was so very close to his dad that he might just understand...

Summary
Close encounters with Ardyn Izunia tend to leave wounds that don't heal easily. Cor is still bleeding after years. Prompto's are fresh and barely covered by Shiva's divine mercy. Iris cannot stop picking at hers.
Healing would be so much easier if it was straightforward, or the only thing to do, or if the powers that be kept their hands to themselves. But the world is in shambles, and there are daemons to kill, cults to dismantle, relationships to figure out. In times like these, all you can do is try your best, rely on each other - and maybe ask Weskham for another drink.
(Set directly after "A Tale of Cautionary Tales," but it's not required reading, and neither is the rest of the series. Everyone in this story is just as confused as you are.)

Summary
It all started when Vic said, and I quote,
“Unrelated, but I think about Auron's jug and how perhaps it's an official piece of gear from the temple, that's only to be used in emergency situations or as a bartering tool.... I think about Jecht pressuring Auron into drinking some with him and Auron gets drunk for the first time ever…”Three guys on a pilgrimage, and between two of them, there's not a lot of love. Emotions fueled by alcohol run high, and Jecht and Auron get themselves in quite a mess. Even though it might have been a bit of Braska's fault, really.

Summary
"There are things between heaven and earth..." And so on, and so on. Cor Leonis never was a man for unctuous words, only willing to bear them if he had no other choice or the drinks were complimentary.
The dark stranger he meets on a few occasions during his life manages to fulfill both of these conditions, and with every meeting, things get a little bit weirder...
